It really works and is useful!
I bought this for my wife’s birthday since she had read about them, but thinking it would be more of a “gadget” than a useful addition to the kitchen. But the next day, she got a big roast and was saying it was wonderful to sit in her office area doing some work WITHOUT having to get up every now and then and open up the ovendoor and pull it out to see how it was coming along. The alarm went off, she pulled the roast out, the temperature was dead on, and it was cooked to perfection. Since then she has done two more roasts – a really useful gift with a great price.

What counts: It does what I expected!
There’s really not much to say – it works as described in the write-up, it’s accurate, and easy to use. I’ve used it on steak, burgers, lamb chops, chicken, and salmon.That said, I’d like some improvements. The 16-page foldout manual’s print is small for my old eyes; I’d like a pointer to a PDF (I scanned it to make a PDF… but it isn’t formatted well for OCR). An included card says the booster should be within 2 feet of the grill, oven, etc.; the write-up says 200 feet and while I didn’t test that far it worked fine within 20+ feet or so.But those are peripheral issues. For the purpose of it, it works, and that’s what counts. I will probably gift it in future.

Works very well with and with out the app
I got the product in wanting a wireless thermometer. I was using it. I decided to download the app because I needed to step out of the kitchen and take care of my disabled cousin well. I was out of the kitchen when I first walked out the temperature of the chicken. I was cooking, was still in the 30s. It was still a little frozen. I was gone about 15 to 20 minutes. It came back in because the timer for my tea went off. And I put the T in the thing in right in the middle of my T of finishing fixing up the tea, I was making the wireless thermometer, said the chicken was at 164°. So I turned around and I looked and I went back to the oven, and as I went back, it hit 165 every 166, so I pulled it out. And I let it sit and rest, and I checked it with a another instant-read thermometer. I have, that’s not wireless and sure. Enough, the temperature was at 167, so it is spot on and I was probably about 250 foot away from my thermometer. When the app on my phone went off I have no issues with recommending the thermometer. It seems to work perfect as it says. It does get very hot to touch. So when you’re pulling it out of your meat, be sure to yeah, use a potholder or a glove, but uh, other than that, if you follow the directions and you put it into the meat up to the line. It seems to work very well easy to use like it a lot

Great Value!
Now that I’ve had it for about 6 months I thought it was time for a review. So far, the case and the probe battery seem to be as advertised, but I would recommend charging the probe before using like the recommend in the instructions. I used it for a boston butt last night and didn’t have any issues. Note that the range decreases when going through walls and such, but with that said it still reaches from my smoker to my kitchen/bedroom. I also really like being able to set the desired temperature and the case will alarm when its reached. It makes it easier to put things on the smoker overnight without having to worry about over cooking before the next morning. Overall, I’ve been very impressed for the price that you pay!

Great reliable product
Thermometer is working great. I use it for cooking steak in the oven and chicken in the air fryer. I have not had any issues with connections and it helps ensure the I don’t over cook my steak or under cook my chicken. I definitely recommend this if you are thinking of getting one. I can’t wait to use it this summer for grilling!
