Great transition shoe!
These shoes are truly zero drop. And the toe box is wide enough for me. I can comfortably wear my wool toe socks in them and my feet can breathe and are not squished. They do not look like most barefoot, wide toe box shoes. They are cute! Love the black and white. I replace the insoles with Northsole insoles (Legacy-6mm) and it truly make all the difference. These shoes are more comfortable than my Brooks. I stand on concrete floors all day in the pharmacy so I need a bit of cushion. After working a full 8.5 hour shift, my feet aren’t sore or tired. My legs don’t ache. And most importantly, due to the true zero drop, my lower back does not hurt one bit. My spine stays in alignment. And I noticed several times throughout the day that I didn’t feel the need to be constantly shifting my weight from one foot to the other. These deliver exactly what I need. The price point is phenomenal! I’ve already bought a pair for my parents. I will add more colors, too, because that burgundy pair is screaming my name!

5 stars so far!
Starting with 5 stars based on delivery, packaging, and first try-on. Very lightweight and sturdy. Not a lot of cushioning on the inside but still surprisingly comfortable. Easy to put on and the shoe strings are nice and long. They are true to size and I really appreciate the cushioning around the back of the shoes supporting the ankles. The toe box is perfect and my foot is not being crushed on top because the tongue of the shoe actually cradles the top of my foot instead of stabbing it. I walked around my living room in these and I actually feel more flexible in my ankles which is what I was hoping for with anterior tendon issues when I run. I literally smiled and said “I think I might love these”. We’ll see! I’m hoping these will keep their 5 star rating when I take them on the track tomorrow morning. I’ll update y’all soon!Update: OMG! These made ALL the difference! Wtf??? I’ve spent soooo much money on other “popular” brands that killed my shins and tendons in my ankles (I thought I was just in bad form), but THESE!!! I just ran a mile in these on a paved track and NO PAIN IN MY ANKLES OR TENDONS!!!!! I’m in love with these!!!! If you strike more on your mid foot or ball of your foot when you run, these are definitely for you!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!

CHECK SIZING BEFORE PLACING ORDER!
I wear a 9 to 9.5 Wide in Women’s shoes, so that’s what I ordered: 9.5 Wide. Nowhere in the description does it say what the European size is, which would have been helpful since I already know I wear a 40 EU in a different Whitin model. UPDATE: There is now a sizing chart in the middle of the product page, which gives foot lengths in inches/centimeters as well as size conversions for a better fit. When these arrived, I found they were a size 41, which is too big for me. This was a huge setback for me, since I’ve been desperately seeking shoes that will help my tarsal tunnel syndrome heal.Other than the length, these shoes were comfortable and offered more cushioning than the minimalist Whitins I already own (which I can no longer wear because of the tarsal tunnel syndrome, *not* caused by the Whitins). I love the wide toe box — which was plenty roomy for my 2E-width female feet — and they’re attractive as well, which is hard to find in these types of shoes. I absolutely love Whitin shoes and am looking forward to the correct-sized ones to arrive.NOTE ON CUSHIONING: These are *not* the equivalent of the Men’s Wide Toe Box Road Running Shoe that looks the same. I ordered both, and the Men’s version has a much more cushiony sole. The sole on these is harder, has less spring, and makes a bit of “slap” noise when walking. The Men’s version is quieter, more rubber-like on hardwood floors. Also, the Men’s version is visibly wider and actually fits my 2E width foot better. (For reference, the ball of my foot measures 4″ across — the widest Women’s version of this shoe is less than that in size 11.)Please note that there is not a lot of arch “support” in these shoes, but the insole is removable so you can put any insole or orthotic in that you wish. I’m so glad Whitin is NOT trying to be an orthopedist like so many shoe manufacturers! We all have different feet and different support needs, so having the option to switch out the insole is a huge plus.

Such amazing shoes for such a humble price! Severe plantar fasciitis person here.
I suffer from extreme pain from plantar fasciitis. Bought all the “official plantar fasciitis shoes” that cost $150 on up. They all sit on my rack. Altras were the only ones that worked but that cost $159. Saw Whitin shoes, zero drop and the PRICE. Could such a low priced shoe really work?? Tried it and I’m floored by its quality, simplicity and comfort. It doesn’t have any support insole built up like the main players but it surprisingly did not matter. It’s lightweight, beautiful elegant design and pure comfort even for my aching feet at ONLY $50. Most mornings I can’t even walk without limping in pain. When I put these on, it distributes my weight properly and lines my feet up and somehow that eases away the pain. Well ventilated, my feet feel dry and I can wear it all day. They are so comfy is sometimes forget to change into my outdoor Altras when I go for walks. For this price, I am getting more and buying some for my elderly mom who suffers from foot pain. This glowing review is not solicited from anyone. Just wanted to show how much this product helped my pain. No need to drop hundreds on shoes when this one does way better in every way. Highly recommend. Also, the slip in back edge is very handy.

Great shoes!
Dude, this brand never disappoints! Ive been buying Whitin shoes for a few years now and I’ll keep coming back for more. I only buy shoes when i need them so it’s always exciting to come back and realize they have a bunch of new styles. I started looking at wide walking shoes and almost went with Bronax because i didn’t realize Whitin started making these. These shoes are SO comfortable, and pretty cute too! They have a little cushiony bounce to them, and are true to size per the usual. I consider my foot pretty wide, and i can completely spread my toes out in these. I will stay a loyal customer because these shoes never fail me and are affordable.

El periódico es de buena calidad, súper anchos creo q se puede pedir medio número menos de la talla regular, solo le falta un poco de amortiguación lo reciento en el pie que tengo plano
Joanne –
very low cut, my toes cannot go in at all eventhough it is the right size. Only suitable for skinny feet
Sheena Cullen –
Have not given them a good workout yet but very comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and bunions and they are very comfortable.

Mom needed a wider toe box runner. She wears these all the time. Good value for the price.

UPDATE: these shoes are horrible. My feet are in agony whenever I walk too fast or wear them for too long. They are no longer zero drop because the outsoles are so soft there’s almost no tread left in the forefoot in only 1½ months. Absolute trash.I’ll update review accordingly, but at first I thought I had got the wrong size, and almost ordered another pair while starting a return for these. Then I remember the company saying to remove the insole if the fit doesn’t feel right. Because it fit in length, but the width and height felt wrong. Had nothing to lose, removed the insoles. What a DIFFERENCE! My toes no longer feel like they’re being crushed, my feet don’t feel like they’re being strangled. I am coming to these shoes from VFF toe shoes, so I know I had to bring down my expectations for roominess a bit. Having said that, much better than a regular shoeI’ll have to walk some more without the insoles, to see if it’s still on comfortable as my literal barefoot shoes. Which took away my feet, knee, and hip pain. Hopefully these do the same while giving some protection from the rain and any stray needles.
