My picky cat loves it
My cat is very picky, finding treats that he likes is hard, he doesn’t even like wet food, but he loves this! Only thing is he barely chews it so I don’t know if it’s still good for his teeth. Either way, I’m glad I bought this.

great for cat teeth
I first ran into these at the vet, they gave me a free sample to help keep my cat’s teeth clean and tartar-free. (she was in to get her teeth cleaned)I’ve got a nightly ritual with my cat now, she runs up the tree, I give her a good brushing, and she gets three of these to chew on. For her they’re like treats, she loves the taste and will sniff them out as I hide them around on the tree. Unlike some other cat treats I’ve tried, these have a decent aroma to them which really attracts her. There’s 90 in a bag, and she gets three a day, so that’s a bag a month. And her teeth are still pearly white even months after that cleaning, so I think they’re doing the job.

A terrible replacement for the CET CAT Chews!
I tried this product since Virbac stopped making their wonderful CET Chews for cats. I am so upset that the company did this because I had finally found a cat dental product that actually worked and that was easy to administer. In fact, my two cats LOVED the chews, especially the fish ones. They kept my cats’ teeth beautifully clean, and the cats went for them as if they were candy. Why on earth did Virbac decide to stop making a product that was so good?? I really don’t understand this at all. It would be one thing if the product was awful and didn’t work, but the chews were GREAT! This new product, the Intellident, is a complete waste. My cats won’t touch it! The pieces are very small and bite-sized, BUT they are hard as rocks! Obviously, the smell did not attract my cats because they took one sniff and backed off. So, I threw the entire bag in the trash.PLEASE, VIRBAC, BRING BACK THE OLD PRODUCT!!! You were crazy to get rid of it, and you have disappointed a lot of people, I would bet. I can’t be alone in my fury. And, by the way, I just took one cat to the vet to have his teeth checked, and he needs a professional cleaning for tartar buildup since we have been out of the chews for probably a year now. WTH, VIRBAC??? You really did a dumb thing.

Noticed less tartar
It’s not that my cat didn’t like the treat. She couldn’t completely finish them.(If that’s a bad thing?)I have noticed less tartar on her hard 2 reach back teeth. Overall, works good with every other day brushing.

Not enticing to a food-motivated cat
I can’t say whether they are effective from a dental perspective. They are easy to feed since the serving is only 3 pieces, as opposed to several to (supposedly) get dental benefits from Greenies. They are very hard like all dental treats, since they are meant to clean the teeth. But my food-loving cat will only eat them if I mix them in her kibble, and even then she tries to avoid them. I think I’ll go back to Greenies since she actually seems to enjoy them and I can use them in training.

My cat loves to brush his teeth!
Hi, a neighbor of mine is a vet and she gave me a package of these to try out. I give my cat three a day at around 5:00PM and he knows it is treat time. around 4:45PM he starts to try to let me know it is treat time. It takes him about on minute to eat one treat. So that is three minutes for three treats. At around noon is treat time, and yes he starts bothering me. I give him twelve to fourteen treats, and he eats all of them in less time than it takes him to eat the three of these treats. My vet is very happy about how his teeth are doing, so that make me happy. I just feel they are a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for so I will keep on buying these.

gave it a try
I had never given my cat dental treats before. There are many to choose from and I tried these. They, supposedly, have enzymes in them that work with my cat’s chewing to take off plague. They have not proven that when a lot of brands have. I gave them to my cat for a month, I didn’t see much difference. They were crunchy like most of them and, apparently, not to flavorful because my cat didn’t like them. These treats are made with no artificial ingredients, but don’t include vitamins like most of them do. The wonderful thing about them is you only give 3 treats a day compared to almost all of the other brands that suggest I give16 to 20 treats for my 11lb cat. They compare in price to all the other brands, but I will not use them again.

Two of my cats love them, and the one I bought them for doesn’t but as she is very very picky I wasn’t surprised. I like that these dental treats don’t have chlorophyll like the Greenies, which always make my cats sick, but I can’t justify the $27 price tag for the tiny bag of treats.
