This thermometer set proves that quality and reliability don’t have to cost a fortune!I went with this type of traditional RF thermometer kit after reading about countless connectivity issues with the more expensive bluetooth app-based thermometer kits. I’ve never had any RF connectivity issue with this kit.The unit is very easy to learn/program/adjust to your specific needs, the large display is easy to read, it has tremendous range (even inside a metal roof house), the backlighting is great for those early morning/late night smokes, and both the thermometer & remote display units have great battery life. The 3 built-in mounting options (wall, strong magnetic, and fold-out stand) are great features too.I choose the 4 probe option to give me the ability to read the constant ambient temp inside the cooking chamber (using the supplied probe grate clips) with one probe, monitor both the flat & point of a packer brisket with two probes, or to monitor 2-3 turkey breasts or whole chickens with 2-3 probes.If your looking a for a great reliable barbecue thermometer that doesn’t break the bank, I highly recommend this one! 🔥🪵😶🌫️

This thing works great! The only way to perfectly cook your meat is to monitor the temp.The four probes have been plenty for me.Having the remote feature is nice.I didn’t want to deal with an app on my phone so this was an easy decision for me.The batteries last a long time. The alarm is nice and loud.It’s easy to use and setup once you get used to it.

Accurate, with no range issues
I used this device to monitor the temps on side by side air fried turkeys. I used 2 of the the 4 probes.One of the turkeys also had a Meater brand thermometer, so i was able to do some comparison testing.Connectivity & Range:The ThermoPro thermometer held range keeping a strong signal through multiple walls, approximately 70′ away. The Meater lost connection less than 15′ away, through one wall. The Meater uses Bluetooth. The ThermoPro uses radio frequency… old school… no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no app… just good old reliable RF.Accuracy:The ThermoPro device gave an accurate temp that resulted in perfectly cooked turkey at 165 degrees. The Meater consistently registered about 15-20 degrees warmer, and made me think the turkey was going to be overdone. The Meater read 180 when I pulled the turkeys out of the air fryers… completely inaccurate reading. The ThermoPro were spot-on.Value:The ThermoPro is significantly less expensive than the Meater. Plus, it has 4 probes vs 1 on the Meater. The probes are also much longer, so they reached into the deepest parts of the turkey. That’s probably why it gave more accurate readings.Tech:ThermoPro is old school. Basic, but functional. It has target temps, alarms, etc. Meater has a well designed app that tells you ambient temp, estimated cook times, graphs, etc. All great… but it wasn’t accurate… soooo… what’s the point?Overall:ThermoPro saved Thanksgiving dinner. I would’ve served underdone turkey if I’d trusted the Meater.

It works, but can leave you in a bind…
Functional it works well. The ability to monitor 4 things at once is great. Probes and readings are consistent and accurate. Display is easy to and the alarms are loud. Like that the magnets on receiver allows to stick it to the frig while I work about the kitchen. I do wish the transmitter also had a magnet on it, but it does have a metal loop you can use to hang it.The bad… The number 1 thing that I have a problem with is the battery life on the receiver is a problem. Not when it’s in use, but when its *turned off*! More than than once I’ve been in a bind because I’ll bring out the thermometer to monitor a smoke and the batteries in receiver are stone cold dead. Yes, the unit was turned off the last time it was used. It is not useful to have to scrounge AAA batteries when you need to get cooking. The only way to save the batteries is to remove them from the receiver. It might as well not have a power switch.The transmitter battery life is fine, lasting many sessions.

I already have a ThermoPro instant read that I have had for years and replaced the battery several times. It’s been my go to and always accurate. I recently upgraded my smoker to a Traeger and with the larger cooking space, decided to get a remote unit that can provide multiple readings. My Traeger does have a thermometer and the ability to check on their app, however it’s only one and sometimes I cook different cuts so having the dual probe is convenient.I have to admit, this unit has everything I need and more. It works great and is accurate. I can set alerts, timers, and it has built in (default) temp goal settings that you can also edit to suit your needs. It’s been a real time saver and let’s me accomplish other tasks and not baby-sit and have to check in often.Unfortunately after a few uses, the one temperature probe didn’t read correctly. I did some tests with both probes and the instant read. One of the probes is off by 50F. No idea why, but it’s defective. My window for a return/replacement by Amazon was out by 3 days so now I’m not sure what my options are.I emailed ThermoPro, explained what happened, included the readings and results of my tests, and that I was out 3 days for a replacement through Amazon. I downloaded a copy of my receipt for proof and then asked what I had to do for a replacement temperature probe. I didn’t expect much but thought it was worth a try.To my surprise, I had a response back from ThermoPro customer service the same day! They asked me to verify my address so they could ship out a replacement. After I confirmed, there was an email the following day with shipment details. A few days later, I received not just the replacement probe but an extra one as well! I tried the new one out and it works exactly as the other original one.We’re in an era where many companies aren’t interested in customer service, and make it difficult to contact them if you have any questions or issues. This was such a positive experience and made me feel like my business with them was valued.I will 110% be endorsing ThermoPro products to anyone I know and in future, will be purchasing from them again. I don’t usually spend the time to write up reviews especially ones this detailed. I am happy to provide this review and I wish I could upvote and add more stars than 5.If the ThermoPro TP826 isn’t the unit for you, I recommend you consider some of their other offerrings. Their products are well built, packed with features, and their customer service is some of the best I’ve experienced in years.Well done ThermoPro and thanks so much for taking the time to help me resolve my (minor) issue!!!!
