I’ve suffered from IBS, allergies, and skin problems for years. I’m disillusioned with pharmaceuticals which are expensive and have harmful side effects. Shann presents a completely sensible, doable, affordable, and natural approach to healing these issues. I’ve already started using kefir and in 3 days have seen improvements. I had been to many doctors (Derm, GI, General Pract) and not one of them suggested this kind of tact. I have to give many thanks to the author for helping me try this out. I have to say the book seems a bit slanted towards her Goat Keifer as the author owns a goat farm (no surprises). There is a great deal of science based explanation here in the book for some things (good) but other topics are glazed over annoyingly (not so good). Therefore I would say the science is some what incomplete here and why I short it one star. Its a simple quick read and anyone battling tough skin conditions should give it a read. Just know there are other good reads out there too that should be complimented to this as you search for answers to your skin challenges.

I am an avid fan of Shanon’s, having a continued supply of her Kefir milk. On reading the GSS book, I ordered the Rosemary Kefir soap due to having extremely chapped hands that wouldn’t improve with hand creams (spent lots on them) or antiseptic creams. The soap cleared up my problem within a few days. I haven’t needed hand cream since. I also had a problem with my lips – they have also improved due to the soap. An absolute must for me! I can’t help waxing lyrical about GSS and the products. Thank you so much Shann & family! I hope to visit your farm one day!

This book was just an advertising ploy to get the desperate reader to buy author’s products. I have looked for kefir in my local supermarkets and cannot find any and have no intention of buying on the internet from this company. I suppose if your skin condition was really bad you might be tempted but this does not apply to me. It was mostly about kefir so if you are unable to buy any near you just don’t bother!!
