This is pure coconut flakes without sugar and organically grown. I like to make our own granola that’s actually healthy and not laden in sugar. Most grocery stores have coconut flakes that are sugar coated.

Great unsweetened coconut
I really didn’t investigate “unsweetened” coconut until the last couple of years, didn’t really ever have a need for it. But suddenly I have several recipes that call for it and it’s definitely a great ingredient that has a better nutritional value than the typical sugar-covered version. I also can’t get this at my regular grocery store and this looked to be the best value on Amazon. I use it for a lot of different Indian dishes, and lately I have been using it in a homemade granola recipe which is amazing. Especially in the granola, it’s great to start with an unsweetened product, you can then use sweeteners for the whole batch, and use sweeteners that are more healthy like real maple syrup, agave, etc. rather than sugar or corn syrup. Great product!
