Love this meat thermometer so much that I purchased one for my son-in-law as he likes to cook. My favorite thing about it is that the cover has a list of meats and safe temperatures for each type of meat. Super convenient that the cover lists temps and very hard to find one like this, most have a booklet with the safe temps.

This is my second purchase of this item. The first one lasted for years with no problems ever. Only reason it “died” was carelessness on my part (water damage). So happy to find this model again; I expect it will last a good, long time!

Super useful in an industrial kitchen.
I had to get a thermometer for myself for work because we recently got the cheap kinds, and those don’t have the backlight, so it’s hard for me to see when I’m temping food in the dark walk-in ovens. This thermometer is so helpful. I’m used to the yellow versions, but the red one is the same, just a thicker silver piece. I use this all the time, and it’s so distinct from the other thermometers we have that I do not lose it and can find it on whatever prep table I left it on. The temperatures on the cap are also beneficial when I’m training because those are the industry standards, and it’s lovely for my people to see it visually.

Seems accurate, reads quickly, easy to read display, seems like the waterproofing works and easy to clean.The one thing that I don’t really like is the buttons are very stiff (helps to not hit one by accident) but holding a stiff button for 3 seconds to turn it off isn’t a great feature.This is the 3rd one of this style I have owned for work, and the only one I haven’t given 5 stars. If the buttons loosen up a bit, I’ll change my review to 5 stars.4 stars right now.
