Excellent Kit
Can’t be beat for the price and the quality of the bag and the amount of items inside. I also added additional items, some more basic first aid items, gloves and emergency glow sticks and I am still able to open and close the bag smoothly which is important as most people who purchase an Ifak plan to add some customer items.

I love getting these first aid kits because you can generally find a few things in them that one would consider vital in any scenario but rarely do they come as complete as this one. For the VERY reasonable price you get all the standard stuff like bandages, ointments, gauze and gel, but you also get a few really great additions. The included compression bandage, tourniquet and shears are one of those next-level trauma kit level inclusions that elevate a pre-made kit like this to the best-in-class you expect.My primary complaint with this kit is the quality of the tourniquet and exclusion of medications but those are things to consider after getting started. I always recommend a cat-7 tourniquet from NAR when possible but everyone has their own ways of doing things. Beyond that, medications should be personally selected from trusted sources due to the wide range of options and quality levels out there. I purchase my own OTC meds and build my own kits from them.Beyond all that however, I love the quality of the included MOLLE bag, and the versatility of the bag is arguably the best feature of this kit. I massively respect THRIAID for putting together such a comprehensive trauma kit and anyone who is serious about their field work should at the very least have one of these available.

The Survival First Aid Kit was purchased for use in an emergency pack. Comments following review and testing:1. Pouch is made from a very heavy/tightly stitched material and should provide good durability/longevity and content protection. Stitching at seams is good and easily resisted tugging/pulling.2. Double zippers are good quality ABS, well sewn into the bag and operate very smoothly. Exterior front and back have molle web sections and back has nylon straps/snaps for molle attachment.3. Pouch has a break away velcro section between it and the strap/snap section to allow emergency access/use without disconnecting at molle web.4. Interior has a good selection of pockets/loops to secure contents and keep them organized.5. Contents are impressive – scissors, knife/striker, gauze, wraps, bandages, tourniquet, splint, iodine, etc – very thorough less basic medications and flame source. All items are well packaged and sealed for durability and longevity.6. One minor issue was noted with the knife – blade will not securely lock open without a very quick and physical thrust on the assist button.Form, Fit and Function of the first aid kit are Very Good as is Value considering included contents. The kit is Recommended and receives 5 Stars, noting minor knife issue.

This survival kit has many useful items that could be used in an emergency. It’s compact and easy to store at home or in the office. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it!

Almost A Complete Kit
I got this First Aid kit to go with my BOB, and I must say I am not disappointed. It has almost everything anyone would need for a basic First Aid kit. Some things I will be adding is some antibiotic ointment, larger adhesive bandages, a small pack of wet wipes, and eye pads, and eye drops. I could go on about what one needs in a totally complete First Aid Kit, but where does one stop. It truly depended on one’s situation and emergency, and if it’s bad enough, you’re headed to the emergency room anyway. But with this kit I think you would at least get there alive. The whole kit easily attached to my BOB and can be quickly removed by way of the Velcro patch. I did have a little trouble with the tactical knife opening to the fully locked position, but after opening it several dozen times, it now works every time. Even used the fire starter to light a fire in my wood stove, to see how well it worked, it worked perfectly. The pouch itself seems to be well made, all stitching was complete, and all zippers worked as they should. For its size and price point, it is a good investment. I’m happy with my purchase.
