Charging issues forcing a product return, but DOAs happen
Product arrived partially DOA; review updated after issue was resolved.The app is fine, sound is decent for the price. I unboxed the product and updated the firmware upon setup as prompted.The fit on the earbuds is interesting, I couldn’t get a strong isolating seal with any of the included tips and I think it’s because the body of the earbuds themselves won’t let me get the tips further into my canals. This is actually fine for me because my ears get irritated easily, so they’re more comfortable. The hooks don’t anchor firmly over my ears and the earbuds do jostle a tiny bit as I move, but they never actually get loose and tend to actually settle back to the right positions so I don’t have to adjust them at all.The controls are buttons, which I like, because they’re harder to accidentally trigger.The sound quality is pretty typical for this price range, nothing stellar, but definitely not terrible. I’m using them with AAC on a new Samsung phone. The bluetooth latency is very minimal. The EQ in the app is pretty good but the buds themselves trim a bit off the higher end which is expected.The lack of isolation does mean the ANC isn’t working very well for me. It also introduces a bit more hiss than I expected and compresses the signal quite a bit, more so than on my headphones from the same brand.I didn’t get an opportunity to use them on a phone call. The “wind noise reduction” feature is a manually toggled setting in the app.However, when I put the earbuds back into the charging case, the left one didn’t seem to connect; the case lights tell you if each bud is connected. Upon fiddling with it I got it to at least light up by closing the case with both buds inside, opening it (which turns on the earbuds), taking the broken one out, and putting it back in. But that didn’t solve the issue, it’s not actually charging. The left bud now turns off immediately after turning it on (via opening the case or holding the button).I’ve started a support process with the manufacturer through their US website and I expect this issue to be resolved, but I decided it was important to leave my review in case anyone else has the same problems, since it’s hard to predict if you’ll receive a product with a defect. I’ll update my review after resolution.Update: Support was very prompt, they asked for a photo/video of the charging connections on the buds, sent me a packing label for a return, and overnight shipped me a (working) new replacement pair. They also said if I had trouble returning the old pair to have them recycled. 4 for buds, +1 for support.

These are at the upper range of what I’m prepared to spend for earbuds 🙂 Also my second set of the Anker brand. The other set I have blew me away on price/performance thing so I didn’t expect anything less with these. They didn’t disappoint. First off, I have to say these have a very elegant look to them. Sound quality is actually very good though it doesn’t have the bass that others I have do. Noise cancelling is excellent, so something to be aware of if you need to hear your surroundings. The case and earbuds are very well made. The earbuds themselves have a swivel on them and the hook itself is quite flexible so should fit a lot of different ear sizes. The default ear pads fit me fine. I got these for commuting more than anything, and I’ll likely use just one until I board the bus. My preference for commuting is be able to hear around me. Otherwise, these are good. They are comfortable and very light. I found that after about an hour, they didn’t get uncomfortable considering they are an insert type. I find these are a good combination of style and performance. One to keep in mind for sure.

Faccio questa recenzione dopo più di un anno. Ho usato queste cuffie per lo yoga, per correre, per ballare, per fare passeggiate, mentre asciugavo i capelli. Sono state le mie migliori amiche, mi sembravano indistruttibili. Non si spostavano o cadevano se sudavo, anti rumori esterni da favola, non mi facevano male anche se portate per ore. Hanno preso pioggia, vento, sudore, calore, sono cadute a terra miliardi di volte, e loro sempre lì, intatte. Adoravo ascoltare musica con queste cuffie: i bassi erano profondi e gli alti non mi stordivano. La durata della batterie imparagonabile: forse le caricavo in custodia dopo quasi 8 ore di utilizzo, e caricavo la custodia dopo 6 giorni più o meno.Un giorno qualsiasi le ha usate il mio compagno… è tornata solo una cuffia funzionante, l’altra è stata uccisa, non so cosa abbia fatto, a suo dire non ne ha idea. Ma sono certa che l’unica cosa che le potesse uccidere era un immersione totale nell’acqua, non lo saprò mai per certo, ma sono sicura sia successo questo.Tutto questo per dirvi che se avete dubbi, non pensateci troppo, le dovete assolutamente provare, io mi sono trovata super bene, adesso sto provando altri prodotti ma probabilmente loro resteranno le migliori!
