Comfortable for Side-sleepers on a budget
For years I have been looking for a good pair of sleep earbuds. I’ve tried headband sleep-phones, I’ve made my own pair using a combination of degrees earmuff and nintendo wireless headphones, I have the Jlab Minis (for $30), and I have the Soundcore A20s (for $120). These SK19’s are the most comfortable of them all for side-sleeping. They are small enough that they do not hurt my ears. I use a memory foam pillow by the way. Let me first explain my issues with the other sleep earbuds. The Soundcore A20s are great, but they block out too much noise for my comfort and the snug fit makes my ears itch. Plus I can feel it push against my ears when sleeping on my side. Sometimes I want to just use one earbud so I can be aware of any unexpected sounds in the middle of the night and avoid the pressure on my pillow-side ear. But since there is a dedicated right and left bud with the Soundcore A20s, I can’t just take the right bud out and move it to my left ear when turning over in bed. So that’s why I like the Jlab minis. The left and right buds are identical, so I can use just one bud, and move it to the other ear when turning over. Plus if the battery dies, I can put swap it out with the other bud that’s in the charger next to my bed. However small they are, the Jlab minis still put pressure on my ears when I sleep partially on my side. That’s the beauty of these SK19s. The are even smaller than the Jlab minis (see photo) and they do not press on my pillow-side ears at all. I should mention they were easy to fall out too, so I replaced the small ear tips with the spare medium ones that came in the box, and now they are the perfect fit. They are great for audio books which is what I use them for. But the audio is not bad for music. Just set your expectations. You won’t get punchy bass from these small earbuds for this price. I tested the battery life. At fairly low volumes (like what I would use at night) it lasted right at 5 hours (as advertised). The only negative I have noticed is the voice prompt comes on at the end to say “Low Battery, Power Off”. I never understood why some sleep earbuds are designed like that. Just power down. I am usually already asleep – only to be awaken by the voice prompt.

Don’t be deceived about these …..
Ok, I bought these with high scheptisism. Feeling that a small earbud could not have good sound. Some claim that these fall out. Well, here we go. These sound amazing for their size. They could deliver a little more highs. Low end is great. Not muddy. I have issues with other earbuds producing a certain irritating mid high tone, around the 3khz frequency. These do not deliver this tone. Touch controls are hit/miss. Other purchasers claim that these fall out. Yes, they do. However, if you read the description, it says “for small ear canals”. Soooo, I have a cheap pair of earbuds (3khz units) that have middle size ear cushions. These cushions fit the little earbuds, and fit perfect in my ears. Airtight seal to the point when listening to bassy music like bass automator, tropikillaz, the bass pressure is felt on the eardrum even at lower volumes. And still allows rock, like Boston, hall and oats, van Halen to sound great. I do recommend these. Apply yourself and find the right cushions, these will sound great.

My new favorite buds, so small
I love these little earbuds. They might not be quite as small as they appear in the picture. However, they are so small they can wear them when I am sleeping. Most people can’t even tell I am wearing them. They are very comfortable. They might not sound as good as a $200 pair of earbuds, but they sound pretty damn good. They might not have noise cancellation or pass through mode. I find myself using these earbuds more than I use my Amazon echo buds or beats because they are so tiny and comfortable. The battery life is about 6 hours, not quite all night.

Seems impossible to use controls
I don’t understand why none of the reviews mention this- maybe I am missing something. The user manual, which is *also* ultra-mini, says to press the “function button” for this and that but does not have a diagram showing where they put it. The earbuds are entirely smooth, so it’s clearly a “touch” button rather than something tactile, with a click to it. It does nothing as a press, pinch, and prod at them in my ears, but then they pause and unpause, or announce that they are power off and back on again when I lay down to sleep! My ears or pillow are clearly pressing the button. Incredibly frustrating. I’ll try them out for a few days but I suspect they are going back.Which is disappointing because they are the best I’ve found for my small ears, they look really nice, and they sound great for the price.Added a few days later: These are impossible to control and, despite the description, they do not power off or disconnect when you put them in the charger. I took 2 calls yesterday that connected to these, despite them being in their charging case and my having manually disconnected them from the Bluetooth.Again, they are exactly what they say they are as far as size, comfort, and sound quality goes! Just need to work out some of the controls and Bluetooth connectivity issues.

Fit for purpose.
Not the most intuitive product. The Charger unit can be used to keep the earbuds charged, and out of the box should be charged empty until it reaches 100%. Afterwards insert the earbuds. The product is working as expected and fit for purpose. Not the highest fidelity for music, perfect for audio books and covert audio related connections from the phone. I purchased these to receive information from the phone during presentations where dynamic information in audio format can be sent from the phone without interruptions.
