Great Taste
It’s nice to have finally found another high protein, low calorie, very few carbs drink mix that tastes good!! I’ve only had one drink, which was this morning, but I have already added another slate milk chocolate bag and the vanilla flavor to my cart. I was also disappointed there wasn’t a scoop inside the bag I purchased. I hope that doesn’t happen again! I do have a question though – with this product manufactured in the United States – why are we having to use a scoop that measures in grams (27g)???

Protein Powder Thats Actually Good
This product taste soooo good. Doesn’t have a nasty after taste or gritty texture that protein powders are known to have. Packaging is perfect for on the go. I’d repurchase a 1000 times. Wish they has more flavors other than vanilla and chocolate.

Fantastic protein powder that tastes amazing!
I bought this in chocolate for my son who is a college athlete and very picky about what he eats/drinks. After seeing the Shawn Johnson ad on Instagram I thought we might as well try it. The powder blends well with either milk (our son uses skim) or water/almond milk (me and my husband), is not chalky, has no strong aftertaste like so many protein powders and tastes great! We LOVE it! My husband and I like it so much, I ordered it in vanilla. Both flavors are delicious!!! I highly recommend this product if you need more protein in your diet or just want to replace other protein products you are using with something more nutritional.Why I changed rating to 4/5 – I’ve ordered this product multiple times. This is the second time in a row the package did NOT include the scooper. I have learned to keep prior scoopers, which I’m fine with, but it would be nice to know that when purchasing.

Something has changed and not a good change!
I have been buying this protein powder for about 2 years and it was the best tasting protein drink I found after trying many different brands. This last bag definitely does not taste the same. I don’t know if the ingredients changed but it has an odd taste. Not sure if I got a bad batch. I will order one more bag and see.

UPDATE: I reached out to slate directly and they said the recipe had not changed and I should return the item if it doesn’t taste normal. They were very helpful and I’ll continue to purchase their product but I’ll be ordering directly from the company. I really hope this was just a fluke. This powder really is the best I e ever hadI found this protein powder a few months ago and one of my favorite things was that it didn’t have that protein powder taste and it dissolved so well in basically any liquid. Never had any clumps. It was out of stock for about a week and I just got a new bag and the taste is definitely off. It now has that taste that I was so happy not to have previously. I’m assuming there was some kind of formula change for whatever reason but it’s definitely turned me off it and now I’m on the hunt for another powder again. Really disappointed. This stuff WAS awesome

THOROUGHLY impressed with this protein mix. High protein, ultra low carb, short and easily identifiable ingredient list and great taste. Reminds me of the yoohoo chocolate drink I used to have as a kid. The quality of the ingredients is fantastic and I don’t have to question what any of them are. It dissolves super easily and has a texture just like chocolate milk. I mix with water or coffee and both are delicious. I even turned my aunt in law onto slate and she thinks it tastes like a malted milkshake. Will absolutely be a repeat customer. In two scoops you get more protein than a premier protein shake with less carbs. Truly amazing for someone on a high protein keto diet like me.
