Got these for my stepdad, he cut out things he can’t have that he used to eat but hasn’t really branched out to add alternatives and new things. I was hoping this would give him ideas of things he could swap or try while managing his diabetes .

I like the firmly laminated charts that really do give a quick review of those things that will help your health.This is a clear and concise chart that breaks foods down into grips with similar effect.I would say that although it appears to be directed at diabetes it would make fun family reading for young ones who are learning to take care of their body.If I had small children I would be tempted to use them as entertaining placemats.

Great Charts
I don’t normally buy charts, but recently been diagnosed as diabetic.Unaware I was borderline for a while, my previous doctor didn’t have me change anything, would only say avoid salt and keep exercising because times blood pressure may be high. I didn’t pay much attention to bloodwork tests since seemed she didn’t have any concerns.When other concerns came up, she would want to try other prescription instead of getting to root of problem with other tests.I switched doctors to get better help with migraine issues that got way worse. Glad I did because it was more serious than realized and previous doctor wasn’t helping.When switched it was also brought up, I was borderline diabetic in past bloodwork tests.So had me do bloodwork as it had been quite some time and was just high enough numbers to be diabetic.Came across these charts and decided to get.One has Meal plan with what to eat and what to avoid on front. I find this really helpful as I am not always sure. Some things I may of thought wasn’t healthy is or vice versa.Inside is breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and back is beverages.The 2nd one is Food list with Name, serving size, Net Carbs, Calories and GI.it has a GI scale from Low to High. Which is great as that is something I will definitely use.It is broken up into categories-Vegetables, Fruit, Seafood, Meat, Egg & Dairy, Grains & Legumes, Nuts & Seeds, Spices, Oil & Sauces, Beverages.I like it has the categories broken up so it’s easier to find what you need.I love the meal plan one. Lots of great suggestions. There are so many things that I am not sure what to avoid or what is ok to have so this chart will help a lot.It’s maybe lightly bigger than 8.5 x 11, the print is perfect size and very easy to read.So glad I got this chart. Will help me when I buy groceries of what I should be getting more of or not get at all or only rarely as special treat.
