This seemed more like a stepping stone into the subject matter as opposed to “here’s an example of how to interface a simple serial circuit with a USB port and read data.” It has some good information but wanted it to help learn to interface these interfaces

I already owned 7 electrical books from school and later educations, so I did not need a book for learning, and understanding, how electricity work.I needed a book telling the names, and showing de different items used in electricity systems, and the working tools.Besides I want such a book to bring with me when I here in Thailand go searching after different part, as many shop persons, among other, don’t know the 11 different types of screw and bolt heads which we see in one picture.

Good read as a friendly introduction. I found the information on tools to be unnecessary, but perhaps an absolute beginner can get some value out of this. It give great technical information in a very understandable way and addresses misconceptions throughout which is great for any beginner.
