This product is the epitome of plug and play. It is so easy to set up it even detected. What kind of TV I had an immediately allowed me to use the Roku remote as my remote for the TV what really impressed me was it told me that I was in an HDMI port, where I wouldn’t get the best 4K experience, and had me switch to the correct HDMI port before ending the set up. The user interface of the apps and navigation between screens is so effortless compared to other competitors. Most of all I love the fact that I was able to login into my Roku account and seamlessly have all of my apps and their profiles ready on the stick on a different TV, I didn’t even need to re-enter my credentials

Saved My Streaming
I have been having great difficulty with my Hulu streaming, especially on some of the true crime shows like Oxygen. The shows would freeze every 10-15 minutes and I would have to go back to the home page and start all over. I called Hulu and my local web provider (Frontier) to no avail. Then a friend told me that my TV (2022 Sony Bravia 55″) was simply not able to keep up with storage demands and suggested I try a Roku. I did and it immediately solved the problem. I had an old Roku many years ago and have been delighted to discover that the new stick can be hidden behind the TV and the remote responds to verbal commands. I am 84 years old and had no problem with the set up. Five Stars!!

Cut the cable!
Very happy and impressed. I should have done this awhile ago, but… I’m old. However, the pleasure of cutting the umbilical cable, was “almost” as for filling as actually cutting a cord. Seriously, unfortunately at this moment I’m still attached to their internet, but I smile knowing that total weight is gone. I’ve since bought one more Roku and actually need to get another one for my garage tv. Since it’s getting warmer and I’ll be spending more time out there.I used to have cable, and then forced boxes in every room of my house. But since the nest is empty I’m downsizing from 7 TV’s, to 3 or 4. Having several dumb, and only one smart tv, makes your product perfect. Trust me… I’m spreading the word!

Quick and easy.
It’s super easy to setup, just had a few hiccups when I really first started it up. I wasn’t sure why but the power wouldn’t turn on and the Roku wouldn’t start up. After a few tries of unplugging and plugging, it started to work and the setup was easy. It’s very nice when you or the person has multiple subscriptions for streaming services and you want to use the TV without hooking it up to a laptop/PC. It’s so compact that you can literally place is right nearby the TV without needing an extra stand for your laptop, (which I used to do). With a laptop, you would need another wireless keyboard and mouse to avoid standing up but with the Roku, just a remote and your phone if needed.Just keep a note that this Roku doesn’t support wireless bluetooth earphones so if you’re into that, don’t buy this one. You would probably need to go through different products to get it working.The one good thing about a Roku is how you can just open the streaming app on your phone and cast it through there. It’s very quick and better than using a remote control to type and look for what you want.Only downside is the connectivity has little bit of an issue at times, where my Samsung TV (not so smart but smart TV) has problems where the volume buttons don’t work. I would have to pull out my actual samsung tv remote to control the volumes and then after a few hours, the roku remote controls work again. It is definitely a hassle and the reason why I docked one star off.

This little device has now allowed our older smart TV to stream all of our paid as well as free programs, such as Prime, Netflix (which with the change in advertising(tiered payment)we were no longer able to watch Netflix unless we we paid the much higher subscription with no advertising, which we refused to pay).
