Makes a tight seal while still relatively comfortable
On of the most important factors in a respirator mask is that it makes a very tight seal on your face so that ALL of the air you breathe is filtered, and nothing sneaks in around the edges. This mask does that well! It is a soft rubbery surface that conforms to the contours of your face and has easily adjustable (but secure once adjusted) straps. It is comfortable in the sense that there are no hard edges digging in (ie its way more comfortable than an n95) but, of course, its not the most comfortable thing to wear for multiple hours. I would say it is more comfortable than swim goggles but is generally kind of like that where nothing digs in but anything pressing on your face tight enough to make a seal can build of too much pressure after hours. One of the ways i quickly tell if a mask works is whether it fogs up my glasses and this did not at all. Also i wear glasses, so it is important to me that a mask allow my glasses to still sit on my face and this is good enough- see picture (the glasses are a little raised compared to to how they would be on my nose but i can still see through them fine)I got the version with p100 filters: these are good for anything with dust/particulates- like sanding or working with powders/ construction etc. (I think it also should work vs asbestos and I think p100 filters also work vs certain types of oil vapor, but i am not doing anything with oils.)I also will use this mask for work with epoxy resin, but with different filters. The p100 filters do not work for organic chemical vapors. However there is an alternate version of this mask (6200+6001) which i does have the right filters for resin work. So if you are doing resin only get that one.I just bought the resin/organic chemical filters separately because it is easy to switch around the filters on this mask.

    Nice mask
Nice mask, fits me just fine. I’m happy that it came with extra filters, I like having this type of mask around for the times I need that extra protection.

    Decent inexpensive respirator with caveats
If you need a basic half face respirator mask, it might be worth checking this one out. I do a lot of remodeling and woodworking, which requires good dust protection, so I have a number of respirators. One of mine is on its last leg–the elastic straps are giving out–and I figured I would give this a try as a replacement. At least a couple of my respirators are true 3M brand ones, which are typically a good bit more expensive than this one.On the surface, this looks very similar to 3M’s basic respirator mask. However, the big caveat is that this is available in only one size, whereas 3M’s offerings are typically available in multiple sizes, because respirators aren’t a one-size-fits-all kind of proposition, at least not if you want the best protection from hazardous fumes and/or particles. The construction on this mask is pretty good with no evidence of corners cut or shoddy materials. However, the size isn’t perfect for me, so I can’t get a full seal. I test for a good seal by taping off the openings where you twist on the filters (so no air can get in that way), then put on the respirator. When you then inhale, you’ll be able to get a sense of how much air is leaking in around the seal/perimeter of the mask. A well-sealed respirator will let very little to no air in around the edges. The size/shape of this one let a decent amount of air when I tested it on my face. That doesn’t mean that this is a bad respirator, it just means it isn’t a good fit for me. I’ll keep this and use it as a backup but I personally wouldn’t use it in a situation involving truly hazardous fumes or particles (i.e. asbestos). Again, not because it’s a bad product, it just doesn’t fit me. If this mask fits and seals well on you, I see no reason why you wouldn’t use it.

Comfortable and easy to breathe in
This is my first respirator. And I can say that the respirator is much easier to breathe out of than a face mask. The respirator fits snugly and is comfortable to wear. Although the respirator lifts my glasses off my nose and makes it harder to focus on things that are eye level. It is easy to put on and seals well. It comes with 2 2097 filters and a pair of ear protectors. The thing I most like is that the filters are pink! Ha!

    10 dollar mask with filters
For what you’re paying this is a decent little kit if you need to paint or do insulation work like my use case. I have a 3m mask that I mainly use and got this in case I somehow got help crawling around in attics trying to insulate them. For the money this is a decent set, and the included filters get you up and running for a bit.

    Wallboard Dust=Asthma, Problem Solved
I get, what my doctor calls, “reactive asthma”. Chalk and wall board dust will throw me into a coughing, gasping, have to leave the room, fit. So does some perfumes and chemical smells. I have a hallway I need to patch and repair and paint. I goth this respirator to help with the process, hoping I would not have those problems when it comes time to sand the patches. So far, so good. It does make it harder to breathe, but it does do the job on the dust. So far, i have been able to work without issue other than taking breaks for fresh air now and then. Will be using this when I do my resin projects too.
