Small pieces. Buy crafting tweezers!
The pieces are VERY small.Note: I would buy crafting tweezers. It made it easier to build and I don’t think I could have built it without them. I do have kind of long nails.Overall, very fun and looks so pretty!!!Length of my nails, size of pieces, and tweezers I used are in my photo!

This was incredibly hard to put together and fit into the container provided. The pieces are so small that it is hard to hold them in your fingers to put them together. I would not recommend this to anyone. If you’re young, it is too tedious to keep their interest or figure out the instructions. If you’re, older chances are your fingers and hands are too large to manipulate all the pieces on the round base without breaking any piece you’ve already placed there. Save yourself the agony and hours of time…don’t buy this.

I bought this as a gift for my adult daughter and she absolutely loves it. She said it wasn’t too difficult to assemble either. I may end up buying one for myself. There are some very small pieces so I would not recommend purchasing this for a child.
