Excellent product!
This is an excellent product that really helped my cat. my cat would hide under the sofa during mealtimes and he was scared of everything. But 10 days of taking this, he is no longer startled easily, does not hide during meal times and eats without fuss. He is more confident and has started exploring the house. He is a rescue. He seems more at ease and more loving.

Really helpful!!!!
I cannot recommend the Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements Calming Care for Cats enough! My cat, Luna, has always been a bit of a nervous Nellie—skittish around loud noises, visitors, or even small changes in her environment. After consulting with my vet, I decided to give this a try, and I am beyond impressed with the results.Within a couple of weeks, I noticed a significant difference in Luna’s behavior. She seemed calmer, more relaxed, and even started exploring areas of the house she usually avoided. She also stopped reacting dramatically to everyday sounds like the vacuum or doorbell. It’s like she finally found her zen!The sachets are easy to use—I just sprinkle the powder on her wet food, and she doesn’t seem to notice any difference in taste or texture. The packaging is also convenient and keeps the product fresh. If you have a high-strung or anxious cat, this is definitely worth trying. It’s made a world of difference for my kitty, and seeing her more at ease is priceless. Thanks, Purina, for creating such a fantastic product! 🐾

Chloe loves this sprinkled on her food!
Cat loves the taste, not sure if it’s helping but it’s definitely not hurting. I’m doing so many things at once it’s hard to tell. I have an elder very anxious cat and about 3 months ago a little rambunctious (maybe even terroristic) boy came into our lives. Elder lady (Chloe) does not like other cats and particularly does not like bad little boy (Lucky.) I got the pheromone plug ins, calming treats for the boy, and these packets for her. She truly looks forward to her morning food and loves this being sprinkled on. She has always been suspicious – I could never put medicine or other supplements on her food without her rejecting it entirely. I’m going to call it effective for us – maybe it’s just the ritual but our house is a little more peaceful.

She loves it!
My greatest shock with this supplement is just how much my extremely finicky and fickle cat consistently loves it. I’m starting to think I should just put it on anything I want her to eat because she just scarfs it right up, which has never ever happened with something I want her to imbibe. I think it is calming her down in mornings, when she would seem hyperactive and playing with her somehow never was. enough. I thought it might work as an occasional supplement when she was unusually hyper, but I think it works best if given at least once a day. I was feeling guilty at first about whether I was doing it for her or me, but I sense she’s happier a little calmer. She’s a rescue I got at one and she had a tough kittenhood and perhaps that explains her behavior, or OTOH maybe that’s how she’s hardwired. I think her basically sweet nature comes out more when she’s calm.

Working wonders for us
We have a diluted orange boy and a tuxedo girl who have their *quirks*. Orange boy is a certified sour patch kid but worse. He’s the ex that will run you over with their car and have the audacity to offset the felony by driving you to the hospital. For some reason he is just a bully so we tried some more enrichment of letting him experience the backyard under supervision, i.e a leash (they are all indoor cats). Didn’t work but what did start is him screaming at 3-5am to go outside. Specifically coming to my side of the bed to scream at me, not my wife. His meow sounds like a women screaming bloody murder though so this rattling us out of bed every single morning was less than ideal. Nothing quite like your fight or flight response getting triggered before the day even started.Tuxedo girl was a street rescue, we believe someone abandoned her in the parking lot we found her in, for days she never left the area not even for food. She was still very young around 6-7 months at that time. It took us multiple nights to build the trust to when she came home with us but even now, if we are cleaning or moving too much stuff around, she won’t be seen for 3-4 business days strictly cause of that. She is very skittish if we make sudden movements still. Luckily her and the orange boy were around the same age at the time she was rescued so he taught her how to be a cat a bit but she still doesn’t quite grasp playing. We found out the day after we brought her home that she was not spayed and would have trouble making the move to get her spayed due to her being heart worm positive with the potential of complications. So since she has come of age now (were about a 1yr and 4 months) – I’ve never wanted to unhear a sound as much as I do now. I’m not sure how cats view that hollering as a proposition/invitation but Godspeed.—With that background—They’ve been getting this mixed in with their dinners (half wet and dry food plus beef broth/water mixture) for a little over a week and a half. Since then, I have had peace. My girl is seeking out what she calls “play” far more especially with our youngest addition. We are currently going through her first heat with her being on this and the nights into the mornings are surprisingly quiet so far. She actually just sleeps on our schedule finally. My boy hasn’t been playing AS rough (it’s not a miracle powder, he will still commit acts of violence) with his siblings and has actually been taking care of the kitten. And again, peaceful mornings. I didn’t anticipate it working as good or as quickly for what we needed regarding our problematic 4 legged children but here we are. I wouldn’t recommend just throwing it on dry food if that has been a complaint about cats not liking this cause I mean.. would you just raw dog eating some dirt on dehydrated bits? It’s not powdered sugar on a donut. To each their own cause all cats are different, don’t expect miracles but hopefully this lovely essay gives some perspective at least.

I would try it and see if it works for your cat
I dont know if it actually works. I gave this to my cat when he was under a lot of stress from moving. He liked the smell of it. He would eat it everyday. I dont know if it calmed him or not. I want to believe it helped a little but in the end I had to go to the vet and get better drugs. I still gave him this and used plugins, plus the meds the vet gave me until we were able to let him outside again. He would sleep during the day but would cry all night to go out. Maybe we just didnt give it a chance. He was on it for 2 months. He is a large cat. He is 17 lbs and healthy. Maybe I needed to double up?
