Nice handheld bottles
Easy to assemble, easy to clean. Flow rate is appropriate for newborns but is faster than a breast. The bottle quality is well made, however I did have an issue with one of the nipples leaking from the side of the cap which is frustrating when you’re an exclusive pumper and your breast milk is like gold to you. Full disclosure – we no longer use these bottles for feeding, however I use them to measure and store fresh breast milk and you can purchase caps separately to help store breast milk / formula.

Great for Gas
Our newborn was very gassy and fussy using a different name brand anti-colic bottle. Switching to these bottles was a game changer for him. He was far less gassy and fussy when using these bottles. The Level 1 flow has been perfect for him, all the way through now at three months. There are four pieces to wash and assemble- the container, collar, nipple, and vent. It’s easy to wash the pieces and assemble them. They’re easy to hold and have held up the past three months of daily use.

Leaky nipples. Keep your spoons UP!
I received a small version of this bottle as a free sample with my baby registry and I liked it a lot. After getting fed up with my Dr. Brown’s bottles for leaking all over my baby for the millionth time in the middle of the night, I put them all away and overnight-shipped a 4-pack of these and a pack of size 1 nipples from Amazon (these come with size 2). I like that they have relatively few parts that are easy to take apart and clean. One of my “spoons” has warped a little bit where it’s supposed to insert snugly into the bottle mouth but doesn’t affect the function of the bottle. The way the bottle is anti-colic is that a hole in the spoon piece will cause the nipple to completely fill with milk no matter what angle you tip the bottle. I didn’t realize this at first. The thought behind this is that no air can get into the nipple for your baby to swallow and cause gas. This seems like a good idea unless you practice paced bottle feeding. Not really an issue for us anymore because my baby got used to drinking from these without pacing, but could be a challenge for some babies. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that the anti-colic mechanism for these bottles functions a very specific way. It requires you to hold the bottle in a very specific orientation—with the spoon up! A couple of times, when testing the nipples, I accidentally discovered that holding the bottle the wrong way could cause the milk to flow out of these nipples in a stream that would literally waterboard your baby (see attached video). All 4 of them do it. I think it only happens if you don’t have the spoon oriented up, but I can’t always replicate the issue to verify that. So please make sure you test your nipples and warn your well-meaning grandparents and babysitters, etc. before letting them feed your baby with these bottles. There is a small graphic on the spoon piece that instructs you to hold the bottle “this way up,” but most people who aren’t familiar with the bottles aren’t even looking for it. I noticed my aunt while feeding my baby kept holding the bottle with the spoon the wrong way despite correcting her a couple of times, so I guess there is a little learning curve to these.

Glad I got to try these!
I got one of these in an Amazon baby registry gift box. We have a “foodie” guy who guzzles his chow fast (both on the boob and pumped milk) We tried MAM, Tomme Tippe, Dr Browns, Even Flo and we had major spit up after every one even after burping. When you have low milk supply, every oz you pump is liquid gold and I literally felt like crying in frustration when he threw it up!The Phillips Advent colic bottle was the ONLY one we tried where he didn’t spit up after a paced feed. We liked the nipple size options, and it only has 4 parts and is simple to put together. (mam and Dr Brown made him spew AND were a pain as far as parts!)We never had leaks, but it’s important to make sure to not over tighten too much. After multiple dishwasher runs the green “spoon” doesn’t fit as snug anymore, but despite that still no leaks. We are sold and so glad this brand was offered as a trial, we now bought several to keep in our rotation!

Easy to clean
Twin boys and both did so much better with bottle drinking with these then they did with the normal Dr Browns bottles. Helped them both their reflux some. And a bonus for mama, they were a lot easier to clean then normal bottles!
