Good enrichment for cats too
First off, if i had gotten this for a dog i would have been very disappointed by the size. But then again maybe that’s why it’s cheaper than other similar products. The dimensions are listed I’m just very bad at estimating measurements and also imagining them. For a cat or a small dog though, it’s the perfect size.I realize I’m not the target demographic here but when it comes to animal care and enrichment- if it benefits the animal, that’s all that matters. Scent is very important to dogs, obviously… and it’s also important to cats, which i think a lot of people forget. My cat likes to inhale her food and swallow it whole without chewing, which inevitably leads to it coming back up onto the carpet every time. So I use a rotation of puzzle feeders to slow her down and make her use her little walnut brain (as opposed to just using a slow feeder bowl). She’s very smart and actively prefers her puzzles over a regular bowl (she will literally reject a bowl of food and shows preferences for a couple puzzles over others). The problem is she’s gotten very good at all the puzzles to the point that even having them on a rotation to switch things up isn’t enough anymore. She also unfortunately does not respond to catnip or catnip alternatives (we’ve tried them all just in case)- it’s not super common but it is a genetic thing. As a result, she doesn’t really get a lot of enrichment that utilizes scent so I thought why not see if she likes hunting down hidden food pieces. It’s been a pretty big hit. It is both easier and harder than the puzzles. Easier in the sense that she can get more than 1-2 pieces of food at a time but harder bc she has to really search for them. I currently switch between this and a food dispensing ball, to balance out the challenge throughout the week. She also likes to dig a bit so being able to dig through the fabric strips is something else she enjoys.Once we’ve had a break from the puzzles for several months I’ll start re-introducing them on rotation again and alternate between current puzzle and this mat.But the thing I like the most is I can just throw it into the wash as needed. There is no hand washing plastic nooks or worrying about food/crumbs getting stuck between pieces (some puzzles are just too weirdly shaped to fit into the dishwasher and others will not be able to be thoroughly washed by a dishwasher). She’s happy. I’m happy. 5 stars.

Perfect for cat kibble
Works as advertised. Adds some fun, variety and challenge to slow down my cat at feeding time or to drop some small treats. He can be a bit lazy with toys but seems to be very engaged with this.

Cute
This item is very cute and colorful! Unfortunately it cheaply made and my dog torn it apart with not problem.

Good for pups that don’t tear up soft toys!
Great for my nose-driven pup! He loves this and it keeps him engaged for a good half hour. Less so for my rough playing pup, he started pulling the “grass” out of it after about 10 minutes.

Highly quality, fun design, great for puppies and dogs that like challenges!

Great product!
Great snuffle toy for my overactive pup! I hide treats inside of it and pull the rope down. It occupies my pup for quite a while! It has become one of her favorite toys!

Pooches Love it
I thought my two small dogs would ignore this item, but honestly, they love it. Eating kibble is not their favorite thing, they are spoiled and only want treats. Anyway, when I put the kibble in this, they both go crazy and dig right in. I like that it takes them more than a minute to eat this way. They are more occupied. It really works! It’s held up with several washes now as well and is used nearly every day for their enjoyment.

Dangerous treat based toy with plastic and metal springs
They put a plastic drawstring toggle with a spring on this toy which has no weight to it and is treat based so meant to have the dog rumage and bite things. My dog isn’t a huge chewer and I should have realized how bad of a design it was to have a plastic clasp like that on something I’m asking him to hunt around for chewy things, you wont even notice they have the plastic and not one of the treats unless you hear a crunch that sounds louder. Luckily mine doesn’t swallow plastic and the spring shot out and not down his throat. Even if that wasn’t a factor its just small bits of green fabric that clump together, there is no hiding treats and even if you did it doesn’t matter, they’d just pick it up or flip it over and all the treats would fall out because it weighs nothing. Its one thing to have a toy a pet doesn’t like or doesn’t work as intended but this one is actually dangerous. You can’t make a toy to encourage rumagining for treats then put loose plastic and metal springs on it. Hiding treats in a blanket actually works and is much safer.

I’ve bought a bunch of different snuffle toys for my dog this year, but this is the only one I keep using. There is no fiddling about, she loves it, and it looks fine and doesn’t spread bits of toy everywhere. No issues with her trying to rip it apart, but despite her not being particularly gentle it’s survived well for a few months of once or twice a week use so far. Haven’t tried washing it, but it looks like it’d survive okay?

Very simple easy to pack away toy I got for my 2 kittens. Hide some treats in the leaves and keeps them entertained for a good period of time and then once finished simply turn inside out and pull the toggle to pack away. Very good product.

Very pet friendly. Easy to use. With this, I can get my dog to eat her kibble, which is good for her but that she’s not crazy about. My dog is 5 months old and had no difficulty figuring this out. I haven’t washed it yet so I can’t comment on that.

When I have to leave my puppy I put her dry food in this to keep her occupied. Age enjoys the challenge and the item is well made and withstands puppy teeth and doesn’t move around at all. Highly recommend!!
