I got this item cause it is EXACTLY the same as the previous one, and I knew it would work for what I needed (air pump in, 2 filters for the undergravel system and a bubbler decor, plus 1 line out) and yep, works great. **Remember you have to finangle and adjust precisely to get the desired air flow to each item in the tank. It is a science of sorts and it takes patience and a bit of tweaking at each output valve. Also, in the words of Otis Redding, try a little tenderness. Too much force pulling the air hoses off can break the plastic pins and the valves only open and close so far. The last thing anyone wants is a broken and leaky valve.

Easy Controls
I like the quality of this gang valve. The levers which control the amount of air flow are very easy to use and most of all I am not struggling with trying to turn or spin a round knob. The round control knobs on other brands make it very hard to adjust air flow — you either churn the water like it’s boiling or you turn it off!These levers allow me to create the perfect balance amongst all lines much easier, and I still have one or two valves left over to release any excess pressure.I have purchased many metal gang valves, but many were defective and it was extremely difficult to figure out which way was open and which was close as those levers just kept spinning and spinning like the girl’s head on The Excorcist. So while metal might last me longer, it’s of no good if it doesn’t actually work. THIS Penn Plax item really works. Although I could find cheaper gang valves, this one’s not too expensive and it saves me time AND saves me from any frustration.

It works after a bit of work.
This was a replacement for an old one I had that was a different brand that had screw adjusters which were a pain to adjust. I have a fusion 500 air pump that can handle 9 air ornaments and when I got everything hooked up I had nothing. No bubbles from my air stones or my bubble wand. I changed out pretty much everything tubing wise, and my check valve and adjusted the air flow. Nothing. Then I changed out my air stones for new ones and I finally had bubbles again, which was weird because they all were working perfectly up till I added the new gang valve. I’m just glad I had spares to get it working. It’s easy to adjust the air flow, but the little knob on the side valve is a pain to adjust, it really is tiny. It is a hideous green color, but it’s on the back near the wall so I’m the only one who sees it because I have a background in front of it that keeps it out of sight on the viewing side. My tank is a 55 gallon long and the way my hood is I have an empty spot for this to hang of the back so it doesn’t cause me hood issues with closing, but if you have a all encompassing hood I could see having issues getting you hood to shut with this because it is quite thick.

Lok-Tite vs Accuair
I bought both of these brands so I could use them and air tubing to make a drip system to acclimate new fish to my tank water. The system works like a charm, and I have much better luck bringing home new fish. The gang valve lets me adjust the speed of the drips from the tank to the bucket with new fish. And, I can either close all but one valve to acclimate one bucket or if I have multiple buckets of fish I can use the other valves to drip to multiple buckets.I bought both the accuair and Lok-Tite because I wasn’t sure which was best. While I have not used them with air, only with water… I am much happier with the quality of the accuair and use that exclusively instead of the lok-tite. Keep, in mind none of these are fancy expensive ones, but for the money they are adequate. However, I personally feel that the accuair is better constructed and feels less cheap than the Lok-Tite.

The product functions fine. But it wasn’t ins tock so Had to wait over a month. As well there is like 5$ gang valves from petsmart not sure it was worth the extra money.

The controls are not adjustable you will still need a flow regulator for each hose as the controls on this only seem to have on or off settings. Disappointed but it was very cheap.
