This stuff works!
I used to drink their tea for occasional stress relief, but these capsules work so much better! It makes dealing with stress so much easier as well as improves my focus but they do not make you drowsy. Just make sure you drink enough water and eat something before taking them.

Miracle Healing Herb
This is the absolute best Holy Basil you will find. It’s amazing! I was first introduced to Holy Basil by a friend who gave me some tea (also Organic India). I was in love with the smell & taste and realized I felt an all over amazing feeling through my whole mind and body. I’m a pretty stressed out person in general, very restless and high cortisol, and as of lately mildly depressed. I seriously felt such a huge difference after trying one cup of the tea, a calm and content feeling very similar to a post-acupuncture state. I started to do my research and discovered the healing properties of this miracle herb. I went and bought 3 boxes of tea and the supplement capsules. I’m like a new person, I have reduced my coffee to 1-2 cups and replaced it by drinking the holy basil tea. It helps for so many different conditions/ailments from burns to depression, it helps with pain… I’m so in love with it! I also like Organic India’s farming & cultivating ethics, and their product is by far the best quality (other brands don’t even list what king of holy basil is in their product). It is also important to me that the actual plant and earth are treated properly-organic India harvests only ripened leaves from the holy basil plant, leaving the rest in tact to reproduce more leaves and respecting the sacred plant & earth.

Excellent for Anxiety!
I love this Holy Basil capsule. It is easy to swallow and is made from non-GMO herbs grown organically without pesticides or harmful synthetic fertilizers. Also I use Holy Basil tea, which is soothing as well as refreshing. A family member suggested I try this herb for anxiety and recovery from stress, and I began using the tea first, then the capsules later. Helps tremendously, to the point that I have been able to leave my prescription medicines behind and use only Holy Basil now. Also I use Hawthorn along with this Holy Basil for added relief from blood pressure problems. These are the only herbal products I have found that give me relief from stress effectively and gently. They really work! I use other herbs for other things, of course. I highly recommend this brand and this company. I trust the integrity and reliability of their products.

Proposition 65 label on some Organic India products–Some products contain Lead
I read that Organic India had a law suit several years back because some of their products contained lead amounts that were over Proposition 65 limits. No amount of lead is safe for the human body (the effects aren’t as deleterious for adults as they are for children, but lead is harmful at any age). I read on the Organic India website that if their product contains lead over Proposition 65 limits, they label the product, but this doesn’t give me confidence in their practices as a company. They shouldn’t sell a health product with lead in it. And their attitude doesn’t seem particularly proactive, more defensive against lawsuits. How rigorously do they test their products? Do they test every lot of herb, or only some and not all?I switched to Gaia brand tulsi because they state that they test all of their products for heavy metals. The box states “Laboratory tested for purity–Free of heavy metal toxicity.” They’re about the same price as Organic India. More peace of mind.The reason I give this product 3 stars is that I’ve taken it for some time before I found out about the company’s Prop 65 warnings, and this herb has had a very noticeable positive effect on my entire body. I am a major believer in Tulsi as a healing herb. It has helped with my anxiety and migraines. I feel much more balanced when taking it. The herb works by helping to regulate and level out the body’s cortisol cycle, which ties into many bodily systems (including thyroid hormone production, metabolism, and responses to stress and anxiety). If you have a lot of little things that feel “off,” I really recommend this herb. It worked pretty soon after I started taking it, and I continue to feel more healed and balanced the longer that I’ve been on it.
