A Good Option Over the Upper Arm Cuff Monitors

It works quickly and for the most part gives accurate readings (as any person in the medical field knows a machine isn’t always right).My only real disappointment is that you HAVE TO use the charging cord it came with because using any other cord doesn’t work. I was hoping since most of my devices use a usb-c type cord that I could use one of the many I already have but can’t. Not a huge deal but the cord has a regular USB on the other end, so I had to get a wall adapter to be able to plug it in and charge it.

My opinion about this BP monitor is still open for more information. It is very easy to use and set up but I’m not so sure just how accurate the readings are. I like the easy to read readout and the voice feedback. Again, my biggest concern is the accuracy of this monitor. I will edit my review once I have more information.EDIT: After communications with customer service, which I might add is a pleasure to deal with, I am delighted to say this monitor although not 100% balls on accurate, is accurate within tolerance levels. BP can change from one arm to the other and even from one minute to the next. When using this monitor, I suggest taking 3 readings within a couple of minutes from each other in the same position and average them for the best results.

Nice size, follow the directions and it’s very easy to use and see. The only complaint I have is the volume while it speaks. I have it set on 3, which I think is the loudest setting and I still have to turn the TV volume down to hear it. Other than that one minor complaint, it has worked great so far, so I still gave the oklar wrist blood pressure cuff a 5 star rating.

Excellent Wrist BP monitor
Generally would not use a wrist BP monitor based on a lot of reviews however, we have compared the readings of this monitor to a standard manual reading device used by the nurse and it reads well within specs. It’s been so stable that the nurse now purchased this model and uses it where an upper arm cuff does not work for some of the patients. We do comparisons between our upper arm BP device regularly. We have compared our wrist BP monitor to the one the nurse bought and they’re almost spot on. Our goal here is consistency from day to day. Highly Recommend

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED
I have chronically low BP and at times need to take medication for this. It is difficult to know if I should be taking my medication when I can’t get an accurate reading, as one cuff maker will read 80s/60s, while another will read 130s/80s, and another something else entirely, all being taken within moments of each other. If you need to take your BP on a regular basis, albeit high or low BP, I’m sure you can relate. I am taking my reading just as doctor instructed, recommending I take it several times in a row within one a couple minutes of each . The BP cuffs I had tested are of various quality/price. I took the lot of them to cardiologist to compare accuracy; some use upper arm, some wrist. Oddly enough they found that this one was the most accurate of the bunch. I ordered a second one and took it to my next appointment to have it checked as well and found it too is accurate, extremely close to the manual readings. I must admit, I did not expect this, as some of my cuffs tested were much higher end devices. I rely on this cuff throughout each and every day, so peace of mind knowing I’m getting a fairly accurate reading is of the utmost importance to me. Good luck.
