Good starter setting spray
I like the smell of this setting spray and it seems to work since my makeup lasts longer. What I don’t like is that when I go to spray it, it is very concentrated in one area so it doesn’t go evenly on your face. To go around it, I spray it on a sponge or brush and then apply it that way to get maximum coverage. Otherwise, it’s very affordable and works well!

a pretty solid setting spray, i raved in this and my makeup stayed in place, albeit it was pretty cakey by the end of the night but i think that was due to my other products. nice finish, i don’t know if its necessarily matte, but its not shiny or anything. the smell isn’t too strong either so i’m not choking on fumes after application.

Results weren’t really noticeable for me.
I have combination skin, super oily but can also get dry when I use retinol (but ALWAYS) oily, textured, large pores, acne scarring, acne prone, sensitive skin. My skin get oily within an hour of makeup application so I always buy setting spray in the hopes that it will help. I bought the NYX Matte Setting Spray to see if it would help and this is my honest review.It is a fair price, sprays pretty evenly (occasionally get big globs that spray out but it mostly mists fine), it’s odorless, doesn’t make my sensitive skin react, doesn’t flare up my acne, dries quickly and completely, doesn’t leave any noticeable residue behind and feels light on my skin.Did this work for me? No. I didn’t notice a difference. There is only ONE setting spray that I have ever used that has shown me results (Charlotte Tilbury). This was just snake oil. My face wasn’t any more matte using this and my oily skin still made my makeup cake/smear. I still used the whole bottle clinging to the hope that it was doing something but honestly, I don’t think this was it for me.If you have truly oily skin like me, I wouldn’t recommend this setting spray for noticeable results.. I’m giving it 3 stars because it didn’t cause any problems with my skin, but it also didn’t set my makeup or mattify my skin.Hope this helps!

Works great but sprays hard
Works very well but when it sprays it comes out really hard and too much at once. My entire face was very wet. Dried pretty quickly and face did not feel sticky. Good value.
