These are 1,000 mg pills and are large. I don’t mind that, but they for some unknown reason decided to apply a vegetable coating that tastes like day old urine. Needless to say, I won’t reorder. Will go back to taking the 600 mg size with no taste issues.

Been taking NAC for a while now. Helps with my overall health and liver protection. The alleged free radical protection is a nice bonus as well. Yeah, it tastes like rotten eggs, but apparently that’s how you know it’s legit. Just swallow it quick and you’re good. Solid dosage at 1000mg, and 120 tablets last a while. Price is fair for what you get. If you’re looking into NAC, this is a solid choice compared to others that try to mask the sulfur flavor with mint (hard pass on those)

My spouse has Alzheimer’s disease and has been in various drug trials at a well respected Houston hospital. In 2020, the first drug trial we participated in used a combination of NAC and Glycine at very high doses. (100mg each per kilo of body weight). This combination makes Glutathione, and the trial was to determine any positive effects of high doses of the two drugs in combination, on Alzheimer’s.The trial duration was for 6 months, mainly to test for tolerance, and there were no adverse effects on us. I understand that this trial is still ongoing. The main points I want to share are:The trial used very high doses of both drugs for Alzheimer’s. I wouldn’t suggest doing this without a physician’s approval and oversight.The drug trial physicians could not find a pure enough formulation of either drug commercially, so had to formulate their own, so be sure that you trust your source.The strong smell of NAC is a characteristic of the drug, and the stronger the purer. This is the sign of purity. The ones in the drug trial had a very strong odor.To ensure the safety and quality of any supplement, look for an independent third-party seal on the label, such as U.S. Pharmacopeia, NSF International, GMP or ConsumerLab.I think it’s noteworthy that the study used the two supplements separately, but taken at the same time, instead of a Glutathione pill.While our portion of the trial is over, we have continued to take both drugs together at the 1gm of each twice per day, and while it’s impossible to determine the effectiveness of these two drugs when combined, we are determined to continue the process.

No criticism with the product at all, I just underestimated the size of the tablets (previously consumed smaller 750mg tablets and capsules). I’m not good with big tablets, however can get them down with something viscous like orange juice.
