    Great Product. Very comfortable.
I received these boots a few days ago. The boots looks great. I have a pair of Columbia hiking shoes which have lasted a really long time. I have wanted a pair of these Military Tactical Work Boots for a long time and have tried on several pairs before purchasing these. I am an outdoors kind of guy and anytime I purchase shoes, I usually go for the purposes behind the shoe not necessarily the looks . With this pair of NORTIV 8 Men’s Military Tactical Work Boots, I’m looking very much far into the future and will be getting my wife a pair as well. I bought a 9.5 wide and after inspecting the shoe, the quality looks superb. This shoe may not be for everyone, but so far I am really pleased with this purchase. My wife had gotten a pair of Dr. Scholls Work Massaging Gel Advance Foam Insoles for them and it made the shoes nice and snug, but not over the top. In my opinion, I believe we should have at least 2 great pair of comfortable hiking / Tactical Work Boots that will last just in case we have to get up and up and leave / evacuate in an emergency. In my opinion these days, everyone should look towards the future to what it may or may not bring.

    New boot goofin’ 😉👍
I’m big on this military style boot because I like the ankle support, and they’re easy to get on and off with the addition of the zipper down the side. As such, I’ve bought a number of pairs of them over the years. To me its hard to find a better shoe to work in, especially when you’re on your feet nearly 16 hours a day, 7 days a week like I am. Theres a reason we issue them to the boys out there fighting for our freedom I figure, right? If they’re good enough for the Marines, gotta be good enough for me. And these boots are definitely good enough! I’ve had them nearly a month now I think, and I’ve been putting off writing a review to really test them out and see how well they hold up as advertised. And for a boot thats cheaper than most name brand tennis shoes, these things are absolutely awesome. My last pair were made by Reebok, cost about $100 dollars more, and lasted me the same as most boots have (roughly a year). The biggest difference between the Reebok boot and this boot, is that this boot is not steel toe. But the Reeboks weren’t waterproof, and man am I impressed with the water proofing on this boot… Especially considering these are cheaper than a new pair of Nike tennis shoes. I specifically waited for a large rain storm to roll in before reviewing these so I could test the water proofing. I’ve added a picture above. Stood out in the rain in a substantial puddle for maybe two minutes to see if water was going to seep in just for this review! lol. My feet are still dry as a bone! So they definitely function as advertised! They look great, although I’m not huge on the faux leather deal at the top of the ankle. But beyond that they look almost identical to the reeboks, and the ankle portion is usually covered by my tactical pants anyway, so whatever. They also fit soooo much better than the Reeboks did when I bought them, and without added insoles at that! The Reebok insoles wore out on me in maybe 3 months, it was ridiculously quick. Like I said, I’m in them and working vastly more than I’m not, so buying insoles has become relatively common for me. Plus, I’m slightly flat footed, so they help keep my arches from constantly falling as well. But so far I’ve neither felt the need to buy insoles, nor had any adverse effects from using the included insole. My arches havent fallen, and my feet feel great. My foot is on the narrow side though, and it seems to me these boots are too. Which is good for me, they fit perfectly and that helps with comfort. But if you have a wide foot maybe consider going up half a size and see how that works for you. Amazon’s return policy is good enough that if they don’t fit, its no big deal. Drop them back off at a UPS store and order a new pair when you get refunded the next day, yah know? No harm no foul. To me, these things felt great from the moment I put them on though. There wasn’t much need to break them in like other military boots I’ve bought. Usually you’re in for a rough week the first week after you buy a pair. They never seem to have the “give” you need them to when you first buy them, but that wasn’t a problem with these boots at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find them significantly more comfortable than my last couple pairs of boots from the jump.I was actually on Amazon about to purchase another pair of the Reeboks when I found these and man am I glad I saved the extra $100 bucks. You simply can not beat the value on these boots. They fit true to size, have great support, they’re comfortable, and they have great water proofing capabilities. I’ll definitely be back in another year or so to repurchase these bad boys.

    Nice Boot
I was a real fan of the Response Gear brand that Nortiv appears to have replaced. My first set of RGs latest 15 years of pretty heavy use. The Nortivs are definitely an improvement over the RGs. Very comfortable with a very rapid break in. The side zipper work has been redesigned for a true lace up and forget it designed. Soles are a softer rubber that doesn’t last as long as harder soles, but I will take that over having no traction on wet or loose surfaces any day of the week. Time will tell on the durability. The later versions of the RGs went down in quality since that first pair so I’m hoping the Nortiv improvements mean good durability also.UPDATE: So far so good. Stand by my original assessment. The only issue is that these are definitely not summer boots. Way too warm to be comfortable anything above 60 degrees or so. As a spring, fall, or early winter boot they are fantastic tho.

Comfortable to wear all day and good traction and a great value.
Love these boots! I walk between 5 and 15 miles a day on concrete outdoors in sub zero weather and sloppy snow & slush conditions for my job Traction is good. These are comfortable (and I’m flat footed), warm. They have held up incredibly. I did spray them with a waterproofing spray just to add some extra waterproofing and durability to the outer shell. I get compliments from my co workers on the appearance of these boots. I will be ordering them again soon, not because they are worn out, but because I like having a backup pair ready for when they finally do wear out.

I bought these as a cheap hiking boot to get myself into back country backpacking and boy did they not disappoint! While I can’t directly compare these to a $200+ hiking boot, I will say that for a sub $100 pair of boots they sure impressed me.The hike was about 7.5km one way and the terrain I walked through was already mulched, soft and had only some small amounts of mud here and there because of a few days of rain prior to us getting there (although it also rained our first day/night. In this terrain, (as well as a paved road then gravel road walking to the trail) the boots not only held up but were very comfortable the entire way.I wore them all day long on the 3.5 day backpacking trip. This included the ride to and from the site, the actual hike itself and also hanging around camp. The material is comfortable with the zipper allowing for a tighter fit or for a quick loosen at the end of your day when you’re sitting around the campfire. The outside material is mostly leather and held up nicely on this first trip. I kicked rocks and large stumps as well as walked through some small mud puddles along my way and the boots felt solid. Although I have only taken them out once so far, I’m not worried about them falling apart.I can’t really speak to the water resistance too much as it only rained a little on and off on a couple days of the trip. And the only water I stepped in was only ever an inch deep at the most as these were my only boots and I didn’t want to risk it if they weren’t very water resistant. For what it’s worth, during this little amount of water that they did experience, my feet didn’t get wet at all.The only issue I had was the day after the hike the side of my foot was sore while wearing the boot. However I just unzipped the side zipper and this greatly relieved my soreness. And by the time we made the return trip my foot wasn’t sore at all. So this was either soreness from breaking in a new boot or I simply had my boot a little too tight.Overall I love these boots and I think they are an incredible value (especially for those just getting into tactical and/or hiking boots).

Bought these for a work boot. They’re sturdy and good enough to be able to walk around in all day.

Great looking boot, brilliant grip and only took a short time to break them in. Buy new insoles straight away as the quality or the ones with the boot are poor. After 24hrs wear they became bobbled and ridged and you could feel the impact on your feet. Feet bone dry even during snow and flooding
