No sugars OR sweeteners
I really despise Stevia and other added sweeteners, and it’s incredibly difficult to find sugar free protein powder that has no Stevia and includes vitamins. Spirutein is great, in that it’s not sweet at all, has a mild flavor, and dissolves well in my daily smoothies while delivering protein and vitamins in a smooth texture and consistency. It’s everything I want in a protein/supplement powder.

Best taste and unsweetened
I have tried many vanilla protein powders but none better, for me, than this brand. The fact that it’s unsweetened, I can use the sweetener that I like the best. Not only is the taste good but the consistency blends really well with the fruit – better than many other brands.

Not bad for a soy based protein
First off, I feel I must stress the fact that soy should NOT be considered a health food. If you are unaware of the dangers that ISP (isolated soy proteins) can inflict on your health I strongly suggest gathering your facts from reliable sources (which are NOT trying to sell you something) before choosing to go this route. Spirutein seems to be one of the better options for what it’s worth. This flavor has a great taste and allows you the option of choosing your own preferred sweetener. I blend mine with greek yogurt, PB2, homemade almond milk, stevia or local honey, flax seed, and usually whatever berry I have on hand. Sooo good. The powder contains guar gum which gives it a thicker, creamier consistency than most powders. Guar/xanthan gums HAVE been known to cause gas and bloating in some, so if you know you have sensitivities to such things just beware. The powder also contains psyllium. This soluable fiber is the active ingredient for a lot of popular laxative products on the market, including Metamucil. You will probably not find yourself running to the bathroom right away. The amount of psyllium in the powder is far less and provides plenty of good fiber to help regulate your system. Drink plenty of water.. Too much fiber can also have adverse affects and stop you up if you are dehydrated. The powder also contains papain (papaya) and bromelaine (from pineapple), both really effective in aiding digestion.I am a huge fan of simply natural Spirutein. While I realize I might be better off sticking to a hemp or pea protein, the overall quality of this product is worth making that sacrifice. Five stars

Best Protein Powder
Been buying NaturesPlus Spiru-Tein protein powder over 20yrs. It’s almost impossible to find it in grocery stores. No other protein powder compares to NaturesPlus. Tastes great and mixes well with Elmhurst 1925 Milked Almonds for the perfect shake anytime of the day. So grateful this Seller is on Amazon. Thank you.

Tried and true
Love this and used it for years now – I think possibly around 20 years? I like that it doesn’t have whey since I don’t do dairy and this one isn’t sweetened. I’ve always used this in a fruit smoothie made in a blender so I can’t speak to just mixing it in milk or a plain liquid – my recipe is frozen raspberries, blueberries, peaches and a little fresh banana, a little spinach (which you can’t taste) and I use diluted white grape juice as I don’t really like the taste of milk or even almond, rice, etc. milk in smoothies, though I know lots of people use one of those. I’ve always used the vanilla, but think I’ll try the chocolate after seeing some of the good reviews of the chocolate. I always think the vanilla smells like cake mix! I’ve always liked the taste. I also like that this has so many vitamins, spirulina and some fiber as well.

Needs a blender
I have been buying the regular for years. I really like it. Now, I want to limit sugars of unknown types so, I bought this “no sugar added”. I don’t want fake sweeteners like stevia or erythritol in my diet anymore. It is fine. Long ago I was told you don’t need to a blender to blend it-you do! It also-to me-needs to be cold. So, I bought a little blender just for this. It makes all the difference.I do add my own sweetener. I have tried Blue Agave syrup. Just ok. I also tried a dap of low sugar strawberry preserves. That is good but, I love a bit of real maple syrup! That is really nice!

Corn Products
I am allergic to corn.I bought the unsweetened kind thinking there was no corn in it. The fourth ingredient is maltodextrin. Why do they put this crap in there, I don’t know if it’s corn or not.

Finally!
I’ve been searching for a protein powder forever. This one comes the closest to perfect. I like the fact that it is an unsweetened vanilla. Beside the fact that there’s no extra sugar, I can actually taste the fruit I blend in my shake. No aftertaste or grittiness. Already ordered my second can.
