    Simple, effective design
Montessori learning games are simple designs with lots of learning. This one fits the mold.(Pic 1) Out of the box. The hands face downward to fit in the box – Easy to twist up into place for use. Keep the box – it’s sturdy and good for storing.(Pic 2) Set up to use.The fingers move easily, attach to the center circle. Easily detached. There are ten cardboard cards, double faced with equations for a total of 20 equations. There are 13 wooden tiles, double faced – 2 devoted to signs – +, – ,>, =. 11 devoted to numbers 0 thru10.Note that all of the cards are + and – prompts. That leaves the greater and lesser than (>, <) equations to be taught without cards. The gig is this ... start with a card. Your child will see the equation and the correct position of the fingers. Have her emulate the equation with the tiles and then match the finger positions. Then you get to teach her the math! After a while, stop using the cards. Parent puts tiles on the shelf, and the child positions the fingers and solves the equation. Finally, the parent is verbal only. Finally, although the set does not have a multiplication or division tile, and that may be a bit advanced depending on how you want to teach, the number tiles will support it (division, obviously, with a whole-number quotient).Overall, well-made, great teaching tool.

    Fun for learning
The only thing I don’t like is the stand is not very sturdy. Kept falling over. But I hot glued it and now it’s perfect!!!

Great for my Pre-K and First grader!
My oldest is learning her basic mathematics this year, which has prompted my youngest to want to learn as well. This has helped her greatly with learning the basic addition and subtraction equations. Not only is it a great visual aid, it has also been wonderful for her critical thinking skills. It is simple to use and after helping her with a few, she was able to do it herself. My oldest loves using it as well, if only to freshen up on what she’s already learned as it is limited. I highly recommend this set!

    Unique concept to teach counting/math!
We teach kids how to count with their fingers and I thought this was a super cute toy to help them learn to add and subtract simple math! They can use the fingers to help visualize the numbers as they are adding or subtracting. Yes they could use their own hands but this gives it an extra element of fun. It also comes with cards to use for practice and a wooden base to hold it up instead of laying flat. This might not be a must for kids entering the math world but it is a fun way to keep them engaged.

    Almost perfect
I love the concept of this. It takes math and allows the child to visualize the numbers in multiple ways. It’s also nice to have the blocks to make your own problems as well as the pre set cards. However, if I were to make a recommendation based on my experience to someone looking to buy something like this, I would say they should look for the following.- a place to store the cards and blocks. These get really messy since there isn’t a place to put them. It would have been easy to design this will some storage on the back. I would have loved to see that.- something that stays together. This is easily put together, but it also falls apart all the time! I would have preferred one that is secured together.- a dry erase feature. The blocks are fine, but it would be great to be able to use dry erase with this.

    SOOooooo Good
This is the educational game that we have been looking for. Our son has a great time on it and he is better for it. The visual of the hands really makes concepts like addition and subtraction truly tangible for him. Before he could count to 20+ but he had no concept of what it meant. Now he is clear what 10 looks like and 25 feels like.
