Best Phone Holder I’ve Used
I’ve used multiple phone holders and nothing compares to the “hook” vent clip design.Impressions:The hook design holds onto the vent slat and there is almost no movement when driving.Very functional and will definitely get plenty of use. I’ve been searching for months for a strong and reliable phone holder and this is it.Installation:Instructions in box are pictures, but it’s pretty straightforward and simple to install.Note: If vent slats are close together you might want to spread the vent slats gently to open a little gap for the hook to fit (so you don’t damage other vent slats).How to remove the product?This part isn’t explained and you can really mess up your vent if you aren’t careful. If it’s a tighter fit, try to rotate the unit 45° so that the hook is off to the left or right side (not hooked on vent). Spread vent slats so you can remove hook without scratching anything.Cons to other designs:Suction cups ruin dash and melts to windshield.CD slot holders can be easily pulled out (not secure fit).Clamp style vent clip holders don’t fit tight enough and fall off with heavier phones.I will definitely be buying more of these for my family cars.

Secure and great for holding your phone securely to the vent
If you happen to still have those older CD player holders, this will actually work nicely. You can easily replace that holder with this one if it is ball jointed It is really secure when place the phone and if you have a lighter phone (usually phones without cases) you can actually use the mount without the bottom base. The actual phone holder will definitely hold the phone even on speed bumps, but without a good vent clamp it will just fall right off. It does provide extra security by having a nice bottom that you can easily plug the cables into your phone. The best thing about this bottom is that it has an opening make it one easier to see where you need to plug in your cable as well as being able to remove your phone easily from the stand without needing to unplug the cable. The clamp has front kind of curve so your phone has not real way for falling out short of opening the clamps up. Even if you were to break really hard, the phone will stay held in place. I will note it is easy to release the clamps but do not force it close too hard or force it open as you may damage the gear inside making the clamp useless. Another thing to note about this is that when you have this in front of the vent to close the vent to prevent hot air from hitting the phone and making it hotter especially during charging. The holder can easily be adjusted in orientation as well as having an ability to tighten the holder so it will not pivot forward or anything. Overall I think this is a good phone holder and it definitely will hold your phone easily to the car without falling off the vent.

UPDATE: After only a few months, the vent clip snapped off rendering the phone mount useless. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted the seller to see if there was a replacement part. The seller responded immediately and sent out an improved version of the part that attaches to the vents. I haven’t yet installed it but the new part seems more durable and better designed. I was pleased with the provided customer service and would definitely buy their products in the future.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a nice looking phone holder that is easy to assemble and install. It doesn’t have obnoxious colors or logos on it. Its made of rigid plastic, including all of the connectors so you have to be careful you don’t over-tighten. It holds well to most vents but its important to note that for vents that have a shallow/thin grate, this will not work. I have two types of vents in my SUV and this works on two of them but not the others. Due to the vent clip design, it holds the phone more securely than other vent mounts. The phone can be adjusted to various positions but the collar to tighten it into position is a bit small. The phone release button is easy to access and the phone can be charged while in the mount. It sticks out from the vent quite far and while that allows a bit more air flow, depending on the position of the vents it may also impede access to other functions like the windshield wiper lever, radio, GPS, etc depending on the layout of your car dash.This will hold larger sized phones however if you have a wallet case or thick case on your phone, this barely works. If they had extended the length of the two side pieces and the bottom prongs slightly, this would hold any type of case. Still, as far as car phone vent mounts go, this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Every phone holder I tried didn’t quite work for my car with vertical vents (Mini). This was a little tricky to install but since it’s been installed it has worked a dream. No worries about losing suction and faffing to be able to see my GPS directions while I drive, as it doesn’t use suction. Recommend anyone struggling to find a good phone holder for vertical vents to give it a go.

After using the windows stuck on ones previously and getting fed up with them falling off or bouncing as well as leaving a mess I looked for something different. These are excellent.I worried until this arrived that it wouldn’t work on vertical vents as even though the description says so there are no photos. which is why I’ve included some.It fastens really strongly to a slat and doesn’t move. Initially I had it on a middle one and all the slats could still move so the holder also moved which was annoying. I’ve moved it to one at the side so the fastener clamps the frame as well and it’s now rock solid and I’ve used it a few times.and it’s so easy to use too.Another review suggested it sticks out quite a bit and as you can see in the pictures it does but not far enough to get in the way – other cars will be different – I’ve measured it and it sticks out 10cm when fully fitted

I have used this phone holder in my Vauxhall Vivaro van and it is perfect. I was sceptical at first about buying a phone holder that attached to a heater vent but after some searching j found this one which I believe has the best design. The way in which it tightens up to the vent means that it is very study and cannot fall off. All contact surfaces of the phone are padded to avoid damage and it is well made.
