Terrific!
Great taste, blends very smoothly. I’ve been using Tera’s Whey for several years in my smoothies. Love that it is grass-fed. No gritty texture in my smoothie, just great flavor and smooth blending. It isn’t the cheapest whey powder, but I think the flavor/texture and grass-fed make it well worth it!Only downside is the scoop. It used to have a long handle that was easy to use in the whole can. Now it is a very short handle which is challenging when when the can is less than 1/2/ full.

If the flavor sucks, let’s be honest you aren’t going to drink it, even if the macros are good.The major test is how it mixes with water – as smoothies, nut milk and bake goodies it’s easy to mask the taste. This protein tastes incredible in water: smooth, no clumps, and flavor profile is consistent! This is absolutely the best protein powder on the market! It doesn’t clump, can be blended with fruit smoothies or plain liquid (any type of milk) and has the greatest recommendations from my nutritionist and dietician friends. I use this vanilla flavor for my teen son and blend it in a high-powered blender along with any type of liquid and fruit. We also use it on-the-go in a protein blender cup (they usually have some sort of blend aid like plastic whisk insert in the cup). We keep this on-hand continuously. I trust the ingredients and, due to the toxic ingredients so many of us try to avoid, trust that it doesn’t have any harmful ingredients. This is also less expensive than the chocolate and my son thinks this one is tastier than the chocolate. The Whey in it is needed for so many hormones (testosterone being a big one) and the container is a large one that lasts us a couple of months. I keep it in the pantry and we use it probably 4-6 times a week, being that my son is a swimmer and needs instant calories and protein. Many times on the go, I feel great about using this to supplement his whole-food diet

Mixed Feelings About This Product
The positives – I’m giving this product a higher rating because I like that it contains such a clean ingredient list. I also like that it’s high in protein, non GMO, rBGH Free, contains grass fed whey, organic ingredients, is sweetened by stevia, and has a simple/short ingredient list. I purposely purchased this because it scored so clean when tested, compared to about 100 hundred other protein powders (plant, whey, and egg protein based) available on the market right now. The negatives – I am not a fan of the flavor of this alone. I am used to consuming plant based protein powders, so the whey version’s consistency/texture and flavor was a BIG change for me. That being said, this does have a nice creamy consistency, and it shakes up easily with no lumps. I’m thinking I will probably not purchase again, just because I prefer the plant based protein powders over the whey, flavor wise. Though if you prefer whey protein powders, you may love this one. It definitely boils down to personal preference.

Our protein powder choice since 2018
We tried so many protein powders before a friend suggested Tera’s Whey and offered for us to try it in one of her smoothies. My kids were little and picky eaters, but loved it! So I’ve been buying this brand ever since! On a couple of occasions I thought I would try a different brand, or didnt order Tera’s in time so bought a powder from the store, but none compare. This powder is not over sweetened and is so smooth. It does not feel chalky and doesnt have a funny aftertaste. Tera’s Whey is our choice.

NEW PACKAGING – PRODUCT TASTES LIKE SOAP
I have been purchasing the Tera’s Whey Bourbon Vanilla Protein Powder for many years, and this is the first time I received it from Amazon in the new packaging. Love that they’re moving to sustainable packaging; however, the powder has a potent soap smell and taste. It completely ruins my protein shakes in the morning. Since this item is not eligible for return, I will not be purchasing again from Amazon. Hoping that the soap issue is just a result of Amazon’s poor storage/transport of the product and not due to the quality of Tera’s itself, as I historically loved the product.

Has helped my pregnant wife immensely
During my wife’s last pregnancy she was dropping protein at a rate that could only be described as dangerous. Her doctor told her that something had to change or the pregnancy wasnt going to make it anywhere near full term, then suggested that she take a healthy extra source of protein.Through research we settled on a few protein powders and each had the a similar problem for her; a bad taste or chalky feel in her mouth. That’s when I found reviews of Teraswhey Simply Pure Whey Protein. After we bought some of it and she tried it she not only loved the taste, but it didnt have that chalky feel in her mouth either. With this extra source of protein she started dropping less protein and we had a beautiful baby girl.Now we’ve got a boy on the way.
