Good for Basic Needs
The mount works! The mount grips have thick silicone lining. If your phone has a case, the combination of the mount lining and a soft case makes for a bouncy sort of hold on the phone. The phone is held in place well and it doesn’t slide out or anything, it’s just a little jiggly. I like that the mount jaws tilt inward toward the mount spine, forcing the phone into a secure crevice. The grip size adjustment mechanism is strongly spring loaded, so you have to carefully pry the grips apart to place your phone in between the grip ends. I question why there’s a lock on the grips since the spring is so stiff. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Not the easiest to place on the phone, but again, it’s secure. I would have preferred not having the spring loading and just manually adjusting and locking. This grip is relatively small (easily pocketable) and it screws into my Manfrotto tripod securely without any play. Screwing the mount in vertically (which holds the phone horizontally) presents no issues. Screwing the mount in horizontally (so phone is vertical) is a different story. The mount doesn’t extend forward enough past the tripod mount shoe to allow my phone to be held by the grips at its midpoint like in the other position. In fact, the tripod shoe prevents the mount grips from holding the phone vertically anywhere else than the very bottom, making it nearly useless for a vertical hold. It could be the fault of the tripod design, but one would assume a Manfrotto mount and tripod would work properly together. Your tripod may make this issue moot.I’ll take the trade offs above though. This mount could have mechanism play or feel cheap or have terrible material fit. It has none of those things – it feels very solid with tight action and will grip your phone well and hold it steady in a horizontal position.I should preface my comments by saying I’m not a pro photographer or even an avid hobbyist. I bought this to use my phone for videoconferencing during the pandemic quarantine plus the occasional family self portrait. For those purposes, it’s a good choice.

Fits my Google P7P with its otterbox on!
I am super skiddish about taking my phone out of its case! It would be just my luck to fall as soon as I do. This makes it difficult to find a teipod mounting attachment that will fit my large phone and especially with its case on. I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and an otterbox protective case (i think the defender series) that makes its deminsions, case included, 6-7/8″(tall) x 3-1/2″(wide) x 7-1/2″(diagonal). And this adapter, tripod mount, attachment actually fits across the width of my phone in its otterbox. The 1st and only one that i have found, in my price range, that can accommodate my phone in its case. But, even more impressive than the fact that it fits, is that my phone is secure in it! It feels very stable and has a strong grip on my phone. And even though I slip it on the bottom half of the phone (as opposed to directly in the mid section) it holds it securely and the extra weight of it being ” top heavy”, for lack of a better term, does not effect the stability of the grip (i put it across the bottom half of my phone in order to avoid clamping down over the volume &/or power buttons). I think the amazing grip and stability is due, in large part, because the actual padded grips themselves have an angle to them that i dont see with other brands. They come from under and up around to the front and up and over the top around to the front, not allowing for any wobble. There is no chance tht the pressure that the holder exerts on the phone will inadvertently squeeze and eject the phone out of it like other brands have done. I recomend this phone holder, tripod mount thing to anyone who wants a secure way to atrach thier phone, in a case or not, big or smaller, to a 1/4 screw type attachable accessory. U will have peace of mind and beable to focus on whatever u are doing instead of worrying about how securly attached u phone is. For me, it allows me to focus on my subject that I am taking a picture/video rearranging the subject and then taking another shot of it in a timely mannor without wasting time and energy to make sure my phone is secure and ready to go. Buy it, use it, and love it. U won’t regret it!

Holds the phone well
Work just like you would expect. Holds the phone well and even locks for piece of mind. Also has a light boot which is handy. Light weight and seems durable. Not quite the build quality I would expect from Monfrotto (all plastic) but decent enough for the price point.

Great clamp for a smartphone – dual mount is excellent
This is a totally decent smartphone clamp – others have said that it’s plasticky, and while it’s true that it is made of plastic, it’s robust enough for my use, and I don’t feel like it’s going to break any time soon. I gave it 4 stars for durability because of this, but that might be unfair – normal use is not going to damage it.Best feature of this clamp compared to others is that there are two positions to mount it on your tripod, so you can easily switch between vertical and horizontal for your phone. There’s also a cold-shoe on the top of the mount when it’s in the horizontal position, useful for holding a mic or a light.Being able to lock the clamp in place is a nice feature, but I don’t find myself using it often – the spring force is more than enough.Overall a totally decent item, which I’d recommend.

Parfait pour l’usage que j’en fais.J’imagine cependant qu’à force de manipulations, la pince finira par lâcher comme la précédente qui a bien tenu le coup malgré la brutalité avec laquelle je la malmenais… 🙂

This have been the best phone holder I’ve had.1) Ive used this to have my phone Samsung S22 Ultra to stand up.2) With a tripod stand, can be mounted by landscape or portrait.3) the idea of having a lock to secure the grip is good. Highly recommended.

Resultó muy práctica para poner un teléfono celular en un tripié y grabar video. De buen material y con una protección de goma para no dañar el teléfono.
