I bought this for our constantly shedding dog. It removed quite a bit of bulk, which in the end, does reduce the shedding a bit. But it was more like a hair cut for her rather than removing loose hair from her double coat. Works good, but not exactly what I needed. Would work great on a dog with very thick bulky hair.

My mother is a dog groomer of over 20 years and she recommended this brush for my chow chow mix and lord I thought the hair would never stop! But I was just using the wrong type of blade for her coat. The shedding is under control now! I should have ask for advice much sooner. I brushed her outside and it was “snowing”. The brush is a little big but I bought the large so it’s heavy but I’ll learn. It is comfortable to hold and my dog loved it. So win win for the both of us

Very effective for double coated dogs
I bought this brush for my Bernese mountain dog who has a double coated long fur type. The design of the brush it perfect for getting the knots out, as well as brushing out the loosing under coat fur. It is very comfortable to use no matter how you hold it. I definitely recommend for any double coated pups.

I didn’t know it would be this size. More suitable for a large dog like husky. It’s almost the same size as my kitten… I will need to buy a much smaller brush for her. I’m sure this is a good quality brush but we cannot use it for our kitten 😅
