Excellent lego set!!!
I cannot stress how wonderful this lego kit is. My son didn’t show a huge interest in the previous legos I got him, which featured some popular Disney characters. I thought I’d give this one a shot because he enjoy building in general. It is an absolute hit. He loves to build his own house designs as well as the ones that come in the catalog. I find myself sitting down and building with him and it doesn’t feel like a chore at all because it is so much fun! Highly recommend this set for any lego lover!

Nice selection of blocks
This was a nice selection of blocks at a fairly reasonable price. This set has a few extra pieces to build houses, but the kids can use their imagination to build lots of things.

I am an adult, and Recently a super market gave me a small suitcase full of Lego as a free gift for spending $300 on groceries! I haven’t owned Lego since I was a kid and forgot how much fun they are! And found they also help me relax and forget about my troubles. So I decided to buy myself this set as an early Christmas present to myself since I remembered my favourite thing to build was buildings. I was able to snag a good deal on it during Black Friday. They Came a little late because of weather but finally I got them and sorted out all the pieces this afternoon. I admit I was happy with the set for the most part but the colour selection could have been much better. I am not happy with all the colour selection. They have a pretty pastel purple which is nice, red is fine too, and the pastel blue and another shade of blue that is nice, pastel yellow but then they have navy blue, dark purple and a super dark green almost black, something I might call ever green like my uncles’ favourite winter hat. Not to my taste. And that other colour that looks almost peony pink or is it some sort of orange? I can’t tell. Even the doors. Would it have killed them to give me a pretty purple door instead of an ugly burgundy one? I am glad I went ahead and bought a couple of additional sets of pastel colours blocks to add to this set. So aside from the yucky darker coloured blocks I think this is pretty good set. Lots of cool stuff like flowers, I can think of a million things I can do with those! I put them on my gingerbread house, I made from the pastel set, you can stick the little flowers on blocks with a bump on their side, for decorations, and the set has lot of different windows. And base plates. They even give you a special tool for pulling apart hard to remove blocks like the flat ones. Which is awesome because I no longer had one. Oh, one annoying thing is you have to assemble most of the Windows and doors yourself. You get frames, doors, and little clear flat pieces of plastic that make up windows and you have to assemble them yourself. I didn’t know that. I Had trouble, getting some of the windows and doors in their frames, I thought maybe I should have got a 5 year old to help because they could probably do better. and if you put a door knob on both sides of the door you can’t close it which is funny because doors have 2 knobs. So that is something everyone should know. Mixes well with other sets as well. Like for my “ chocolate shop and paint stores “ the building opportunities are endless!
