Absolutely superb
It just works perfectly! I’m using it in a two little fishies reactor, so I don’t have the dust problem described here with some users, and I discarded the water right when I turned it on in a bucket. Recently I had to change my whole marine tank, so I was dealing with lack of bacterias and adjusting all parameters, and my tank started to look brown at some point. Within two days I had the reactor on with this GFO, and it’s all white and clean again! Hope it lasts too. But so far, it’s just impressive.

Will not wash away like other brands.
Bigger grains than the phosban that I usually get, so it doesn’t wash away in my media reactor which is great. Keeps phosphate levels down and rinses fine before each use. I’m using this on the innovative marine media reactor for nano tanks.

Nice product and it works. Dont buy because of the negative comments!!
I don’t normally leave reviews. I just recieved product yesterday added it yesterday. It is a powder substance with fine particles. Put in reactor and turned flow down where it tumbles nicely. Po4 was 0.22 and sometimes 0.33 always high. Haven’t been in reactor not even 24hrs po4 was 0.09 with hanna checker so it must work. I’m happy with it

Homemade ChemiPure Elite
I use this in my 20 gallon long reef tank. I mix 2grams per gallon which is 15 after accounting for rock in a boyd media bag with almost half cup of black Diamond carbon and zip it with a reusable zip tie and place it in one of my two AC50’s. I change it out monthly and my PO4 is always 0.02-0.00, crystal clear water and zero algae issues. I do squeeze it around in my weekly water change to keep flow good through as it never clumps and I do place a little filter floss on top to increase water contact. A lot cheaper to make your own CPE and don’t need that waste of DI resin that they add as you should be using RO/DI to begin with……

Dusty.
I read the other reviews but thought if I took a few precautions I could mitigate the dust. I was wrong.I started by sifting the GFO through a super fine strainer. Then I soaked it for 24 hours. Then placed the reactor in a 5 gallon bucket to start it. I think about 1/8 of the 75 grams I used ended up in the bottom of that bucket. TyT being said once I was able to get it to flow clear it seems to working great.

Hasta ahora ha funcionado bien.

Works great!!
Mixed this 1 -3 ratio with carbon in a mesh bag to help bring down phosphates. I had a phosphate reading of almost 2.0 ppm. In about two weeks my reading is only just a trace. Make sure to use a extra fine mesh bag. I would recommend this product.

Try about 2 and a half weeks ago. Now I’m cleaning up my sump, noticed that it’s NOT as I had my old GFO, normally when u washed it, the water keeps turning copper colour, but this isn’t. And I used half of the container, and the water still come out almost to clear. So I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone (friends and family). If there’s have a zero star, I would have given it a zero or minus, that how bad it is. Can anyone please let me know where to get a good GFO, this is SUCKS…
Philippe Lamontagne –
way to small it passed trough the filter sponges in my reactors. its like GFO dust.
