Accurate and Useful, but Could Be Built Better
I’ve been using this thermometer gun mainly to check the temperature of our outside cats’ sleeping area to make sure it’s warm enough for them, as well as the surface temperature of my Blackstone grill. So far, it seems accurate and does the job well. It’s easy to use, with a clear display that’s simple to read, and the instant readings are very convenient. My wife even tried it on my forehead for fun, and it matched our laser thermometer’s results.That said, the build quality feels a little cheap. The device is lightweight, and the battery door is frustratingly hard to open. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s definitely something that could be improved. Overall, for the price, it’s been a good buy and has proven to be a reliable tool for my needs.

Good but eats batteries
Great, temperature detection not great for wanting exact numbers but looking at ranges of at least 10 degree Fahrenheit, you will be able to work with it. Will eat batteries when not in use though so I recommend removing batteries before not using for any length of time.

Perfect for reading Wood Stove temps!
I got this thermometer to use with my wood burning stove insert. This thermometer goes up to 1112F, a strange number for sure but more than enough headroom for a wood stove. My previous Ryobi thermometer only went to 600 degrees, so this is an improvement for me. The included batteries are super cheap and only lasted a couple days but the thermometer itself works great! You can even change the emissivity setting (default is .95) which on a lot of thermometers you cant.
