New favorite hiking boots
Bought this boot in both the syrup and safari colors and I am in love with both. They are true to size, so there is no need to size up. They are high quality boots that are made with high quality leather and smell soo good (yes, I love the smell of leather). The inside of the boot is also lined with real leather that is then sewn to the liner. This let’s me know they’re going to last forever. It has great ankle support and I love the design of the tounge, look at my attached picture, it is attached at the sides, guaranteeing it will stay in place all day long. When you are ready to take off your boots, you just need to untie it and pull the tounge forward, the top three lace loops will untie automatically and you can easily slip it off. I seriously love this feature. The insole is very supportive and comfortable and the toe box is nice and wide. I was able to use sock liners and thick socks with no problem, and I like to keep my toenails on the longer side. The sole has a very good grip and it makes me feel confident that I am not going to slip and fall, no matter the weather Conditions. These boots are both beautiful and functional. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for hiking boots or someone who lives in rainy/ snowy weather.Hope you found my review helpful 😊

Comfortable, waterproof, and lightweight!
Love these boots! They are so comfortable and lightweight, even new out of the box they didn’t hurt my feet! The support is great if you’re clumsy like me, and they fit true to size! Great value for your money!

Comfy, supportive and well made
I love these boots, as I have been trying to replace a pair of Keen boots that I have had for almost 10 years, and they’re still great. These are all leather, and they scuff very easily, which makes them look worn in no time at all. But if you clean them up with a damp sponge and a little leather cleaner, like Lexol, they look perfect again. They were comfortable right out of the box, and I have already hiked many miles in them. There have been several reviews stating that the soles came off, and that the boots were not waterproof. I have only had these for about 2 months, but so far the soles are still there, and I have even hosed them off and my feet were completely dry.My one great disappointment is that Keen’s sizing has changed and is very inconsistent not only between styles, but even within the same style. My 10 year old boots were a 7 1/2, and didn’t have much room to spare. But I had to try 3 pairs of these to finally get the right fit, which wound up being a 7, and they’re roomy. But size was not the only inconsistency, as the 1st pair was a 7 1/2, which fit well in size but had a seam across the back of the heel that dug into the bony area, so I returned them. For some reason I decided to try another pair in a 7 1/2 and they were too large but didn’t have the heel problem. They did, however, cause pressure at the front sides of my ankles, where the thick edges of the tongue were digging in. But I liked the boots so much that I tried a 3rd pair, in a 7, and all the problems were pretty much gone. Still had a little of the tongue pressing on the ankle, but less so, and as I wear them it seems to be getting better, or my ankles are acclimating. I do love these boots and they are beautifully made, provided they stay in one piece.

Exceeded expectations
I received these boots a little over a week ago as a replacement for my Vasque Fusion GTX that I hiked in for 8 years. Before my first hike I wore these boots around the house for a couple of hours for about 3 days. They were comfortable from the start. I laced them up to the second hook from the top and they felt sturdy on my feet. There were slight pressure points along the top of the boot but they were brand new so they were naturally stiff.I’ve already hiked 3 times for 14 miles in these Pyrenees boots. On my first hike, I hiked up Kwaay Paay peak in Mission Trails Regional Park. It is rated moderately difficult with a 900′ gain in 2.5 miles with most of the elevation gain in the last half mile. There was a semi-flat rock at a slight incline along the trail and I saw that it was lightly covered in sandy soil. I worried that these boots would not grip well and that I would lose my footing. Perfect! I stepped trepidatiously and I couldn’t have been more wrong. If I weren’t lagging behind in the group I hiked with, I would have tested these boots by running across that flat smooth rock a couple of times to test it further. Coming down Kwaay Paay in the dark (my first full moon hike) had me nervous. We came down a different path that was steep. So steep that I had to let my dog off leash so I could balance myself and use my hands to step down the frequent drops. Once at the bottom, my feet felt snug-as-a-bug and my toes did not cram up in the toe box. My feet were a little warm but that is expected seeing as how I had just completed a mod-stren hike and the ambient temp was quite warm. I still felt a slight pressure points along the top of the boot but figured this was just a 2.5 mile hike and it would take a bit longer to soften the top.On my second hike, I hiked about 6 miles in and around Iron Mountain in Poway. This hike had some strenuous (for me) parts on various soils and terrain. Again, these boots did not lose grip and they supported my feet without question. I lost my footing a couple of times (due to my own clumsy self) and had it not been for the full ankle support of these boots, I would have, without a doubt, twisted my ankle. By the end of this hike, I felt absolutely no pressure points at the top of the boot. I had no blisters and no hot spots. My third outing in these boots was an easy and level, but uneven in places, hike at Los Penasquitos in San Diego. Before leaving the house, I decided to lace up my boots to the last and top-most hook. I felt pressure points all around but decided that I would suffer with it for this hike to soften up the top even further. We hiked to the waterfall then we had to cross it. There were three rocks in the water where we would have to step on to get across. I was wary about these boots losing grip on the wet rocks. I hiked to these waterfalls before in my Vasque boots and those boots lost grip easily. I had to step into the stream in order to get to the first rock. These boots were underwater up to my ankles. I expected to feel water seep through but that wasn’t my concern. My concern was slipping on a rock and falling in the very shallow stream and, quite possibly, smacking my head against a rock. I stepped on one rock but didn’t commit all the way but felt reasonably comfortable that my footing would hold. I held on to a branch near me for balance. My next step was on a wet rock where I could not rely on anything for balance and I had to take a long step/lunge at the next rock. I went for it and my foot didn’t lose grip at all. I was so pleased at both my dry feet and the incredible grip of these boots that I decided, then and there, to write a review on these boots. I just hope that they last as long as my Vasque but that would be unreasonable. I hope to write a follow up review after one year or 100 miles, whichever comes first. 😉

Great fit and retro lace design
Super roomy inside the shoes, I feel very comfortable walking in it at the first try. Not too heavy. The bottom has a lot of friction. Will see if they resist water outdoor.

Great boots
What elese can I say but that they’re Keen boots. Well made and confortable. Roomy toebox but supportive in the heel. Vibrant color and great for mixed condition weather and cold days.

Bought to replace my old hiking shoes. Extremely comfortable with wide fit around the toe area. Accommodates my bunion and hammer toes! No rubbing or pressure, no blisters. Leather is soft enough to allow for creasing at the toes. Went for my regular size 7, fits perfectly. They don’t slop and are flexible. Removable insoles allow for my orthotics. All round, well worth the money. Would recommend 👍🏻
