Well stocked with name brand products – esp. Band-Aids
After a few minor injuries (and a few majors that would have been helpful to ensure we could triage better), we invested in a first aid kit for the car. Truthfully, we haven’t had one in years since we stopped carrying a mini first aid kit when we hauled a diaper bag everywhere (for all my fuss, those were handy!). So, I popped to my nearest big box store for a first aid kit, but wasn’t impressed with what they had in stock, and we’re pretty loyal to Band-Aid brand bandages as the best for adhesive – they actually stay on, and they don’t use crazy gorilla glue that irritates my skin. So, we landed with this set which seems really well stocked, convenient and fairly compact. It can also be reused to refill as we need certain products later, which was part of our goal. Specifically, we didn’t want something that would be too particular to refill, because I live a “grab and go” kind of life. Hopefully now the next time we are camping and a kid falls off their bike, or we host a birthday party where a kid gets scraped up, we aren’t digging in my purse for the single, scrunched emergency band-aid.
