gentle and easy to use
So….the first package arrived damaged. It was packaged in a bag and the contents inside were squished and splattered all over within the bag. However, I requested a replacement item and it was replaced rapidly and in good shape so I really appreciate the ease in which this was handled. I’m ordering this product again because it’s great for my aging, course, curly hair. In my case, it does not straighten my hair; rather, it does a great job in smoothing the frizz and, with my particular hair, actually seems to define my curls into non-frizzy shape. It only takes a small amount, is light in consistency and I use a cool to warm (never hot) setting on my dryer, but only to get my hair started (maybe half) in drying. I let the final dry be air dry.

Works on wet shampooed hair.
nothing is perfect. But put it on just shampooed wet hair, drag styling bush through and it helps with the frizzies or “old man’s hair” And when it dries brush it again and it will get more natural looking with out excessive stick down and it will look “dry” as opposed “moussed” slick down; adds a little body to fly away hair but, not a fountain of youth. Bought it again. Clairol products too stiff. Price is good relative to other products.

John Frieda makes great products but sometimes, for some unknown reason, they have a tendency to withdraw them from sale in the UK. This product is good if you want straight manageable non-frizzy hair and it’s thanks to Amazon that we can buy it from outside the UK. You would therefore expect to pay a little more for this product, but it’s worth it.
