Perfect – finally (!!!) all white and easy to open and works super well! Great thermometer!
I’ve bought this item three times over the years and this version is the best!!!! First it is white finally! Yay! Not that awful fake pool blue color. Thank you for making it white! Also, it is way easier to open and works much better than the older versions. And, it tells the pool temperature and outside temperature on the display in the pool and the pool temperature and inside temperature on the display inside. The connectivity of outside thermometer to inside is perfect! Thank you! We love this product.

Didn’t work Like I thought it would
Says that it will work in a hot tub, I seriously doubt it! The minute you put the transmitter into the water it instantly reads 20 degrees hotter than what the water is (there is another thermometer in the tub). I’ve tried everything, removing batteries from both units, synchronized, pressed TX to resynchronize and it continues to show 20 degrees hotter. The only thing it’s good for is to show that the heater is still working in the tub.

Issue Resolved. Working Fine Again.
UPDATE – ISSUE RESOLVED. I contacted the seller and they suggested a fix that did not work so they shipped me a new replacement unit. It is working fine. Hope this one will last longer than the previous unit. Seller was very accommodating and quick to respond. I would rate 5 but due to problem with the first unit I am rating lower.UPDATE: This item worked well for less than two months. Now it has stopped working. My comments below were accurate at the time but the unit has stopped working and a deeper look at low rated reviews shows others with similar results. I have notified Amazon and will wait to see what their response is. Perhaps Amazon or the Seller will replace the broken unit and I will update this review accordingly if the unit is replaced.I have had a couple of traditional thermometers that float in our pool. We live in south Florida and the pool is open year round. The traditional thermometers worked well for awhile until the chlorine and Sun bleached the numbers off the scale. Also, you had to retrieve the floating thermometer to read it. This unit has large easy to read digital numbers showing on the top that can be easily seen. Plus the transmission of the temperature to the remote receiver that we keep in the house provides a constant at a glance reading of the water temperature. We are very pleased with this unit. It was also very easy to setup.

Not water tight – Update
UPDATE – Excellent customer service. They reached out and are sending a replacement. I will do a f/u update once I get the replacement.Item works well. However, water got into it somehow and the display on the floating unit has condensation in it. I have brought it out and left it uptrend to try to dry it out, but to no avail. I also worry about the longevity, since moisture is getting in somehow.

Worked until it didn’t.
This worked very well and I was impressed until it started to consistently lose connection between the floating unit and the base unit. I never moved the base unit after initial set up and it worked for a couple weeks very well. All the sudden it lost connection and I would have to take the base to the thermometer until they were about a foot apart. Then it would resync and work for a while. This kept up for multiple days and multiple times a day. Batteries were new but I changed them and hoped that would help. I also moved the base unit much closer and got no resolve. I returned the item for this reason.
