So I bought this thermometer to see if it would hold up to what the company says. And it did. I use it when I am melting gold. And I have to get to and hold the temp at 1063 degrees. The thermometer tells me the exact degree heat is at. With a laser that can stand back and get the temperature without having to be so close. The screen tells me all the info that I need. It’s slick design fits my hand great. Also it cuts off after 30 seconds of non use to save batteries life. And the accuracy that it holds is not off a bit. Built out of great materials and no junk. The speed of when you pull the trigger and when the laser hits the heat is unbelievable fast. It also runs off 2 AAA batteries and batteries are included. I use mine all the time and it works well.

I’ve always wanted one of these
This is great. I love playing with new gadgets and this one is right up my alley. I use it to check the temperature of my electronic devices, food containers, walls, Windows etc. It works like a charm. No problems with accuracy either. I checked with a thermometer in water in a cooking container and it is the same from this. It picks up the temperatures right away. Super easy to use, fast, battery seems fine so far. Double A batteries for easy replacement. I’m happy with this for sure.

This item is 1 of the “exceptions” to “you get what you pay for”.Though it’s cheap, it’s built quite well, ergonomic, included batts, accurate enough readings, screen is nicely backlit, very clear & easy to read. Simple buttons – I hate when stuff gets over complicated.2 cons – takes a little longer than I’d like to boot up & emit the laser upon 1st trigger press, & there’s no adjustment on emissivity.

Works quickly and does the job. I bought this model because it’s a brand-name variation of one I saw in an online comparison test (Project Farm) where it came out among the top rated such thermometers despite its low cost. You can pay a lot more and get one that’s not as good as this!

Project Farm Tested – And It Works
I bought this after a review by Project Farm, and wasn’t disappointed. It reads very quickly, the display is clear, the temperature measurements are super close to other calibrated thermometers I use regularly. I keep this one in the kitchen for cooking mostly, but I also did some testing of my exterior walls during a cold snap and could see very subtle differences in temp in areas of the wall where I know it would be typical to have some air leakage. I also have a good DeWalt infrared, but this one is faster, lighter and easier to use.

I bought this so that I could track the temp of my banger when doing dabs. It also works well for tracking temperatures when infusing butter or oil. It’s well built, easy to use, and the battery last a long time.
