So I figured I’d try and help clear this up… this is for the original Playstation (PSX) and NOT for the PS One/Playstation 1
So I read the previous reviews, of which one was a one-star and one was a five star. The five-star review said it was great and worked fine, but the beef that the one-star review had was that it didn’t go with his “original playstation.” The problem is that the title of the product itself says BOTH “PSX” (The “original playstation is sometimes referred to as the PSX) and “Playstation 1” which is confusing, because the original PSX Playstation and the Playstation One or “PS1” use two different cords. Since the one-star reviewer said that they didn’t go to his “Original Playstation,” though, I took that to mean that these cords went to the “PS One”; the slimmer, smaller, more portable version of the first Playstation console. This is an important distinction to make when buying this product, and the wording in the product title is highly confusing.Anyway, having recently bought a PS One (NOT the PSX) for nostalgia’s sake, I took that one star review to just be a salty guy who bought the wrong thing for his original PSX Playstation, and that I’d obviously get a cord that works for my PS One.Unfortunately, that was not the case. These cords ARE INDEED FOR THE ORIGINAL PLAYSTATION. These cords go to the PSX and NOT the Playstation 1/PS One/PS1. If you have the slimmer, more portable PS One, this product is NOT for you.I’m not sure what was up with the one-star reviewer. Maybe he mistakenly thought that the PS One was the actual original Playstation and that nothing came before it… or perhaps he does have an original PSX Playstation and he actually did end up with a faulty product.Whatever the case, now I’ve got to buy a power cord for my PS1.I would like to add the note, though, that the A/V cables actually DO seem to work across systems (they at least fit into the slot), so the A/V cables that come with this particular product should work for either system.I’m giving this a 3 star review. If I ever manage to get a hold of an original PSX I’m sure the power cord will work fine, and like I said, the A/V cables do work across systems, so it’s not like it’s a BAD product or anything… but I’m knocking off a couple stars for the fact that the product is described so poorly that people can’t figure out what it actually is they’re buying.BIG IMPORTANT EDIT:So I managed to finally get my hands on the proper power cable for my PS1 and… the A/V cables from this seller don’t work. They fit into all the sockets, but the display on my TV is distorted and garbled and no amount of fiddling with it makes it any better. I know it’s not the fault of the PS1 itself because I also bought an attachable LCD screen to go on the console, and that plays just fine. So yeah. Avoid this product and this seller. Not only are they fouling up their titles and product descriptions but their product doesn’t even work right.

AV to HDMI Cable only fits in older tv HDMI ports
The power cable works great but the HDMI side of the cable does not fit into any of my televisions. From tvs that are only three years old to tvs that are twelve years old.
