Wonderful Product BUT Delivery Carrier Is Abysmal. (UPS)
Amazon carries a great product and ships quickly. My problem is with the Delivery Carriers that deliver perfectly good products but on arrival of their destination are DAMAGED by careless actions of the delivery drivers. UPS has become a 2nd or 3rd rate delivery company. Seems like there is nothing being done to correct this situation. Personally, I’d prefer to receive my purchases in good and reasonable condition.The Science Diet pet foods are high quality and this particular formula has greatly helped my young female cat reach her goal of getting her weight in check. She loves to eat, loves the Chicken Flavor but she’s taking in 1/2 the calories. On a diet and doesn’t know it! Kudos to the Hills Company for a great product!!

My cat is pretty picky so I was worried to move him to a lower calorie diet when he was used to one formula. He took to this right away and it’s a great supplement to his wet food.

Cats dig it so far
So far my cats have started to eat this new food just fine. My vet recommended this food (light because I’ve got a couple of fatties) and so far it seems good to them. The pieces are much smaller than my old food (goodlife) and they actually seem to stay in the bowl much better, rather than breaking up into tiny pieces and falling all over the floor. I started mixing a quarter scoop into their old food and I’m up to a whole scoop now. I’m sure I could start feeding them the full 2 scoops of this and they’d eat it up but I want to use up their old stuff too. I haven’t had any puking which is normal/slightly better than normal. I think they’ve had solid-er poops if that means anything good or bad. I’m optimistic about the new food.So I’m on the 3rd bag now and I think my cats have lost some weight. They are to the point where they are hungry when they get fed, not just eating and eating all the time. One nice, but really weird, thing I’ve noticed since switching food is that boy cat doesn’t get so much poop in his fur. He is a Maine Coon mix I think so he has long fur. I used to trim his butt hair (yeah I have an odd life) to prevent the issue, but I haven’t since I switched food and he no longer gets poop in his fur. Maybe its because he’s thinner and can deal with it in cat ways. Either way I’m sticking with the food.Update: So the food has changed. It is now a flat disk shape that is lighter colored. I called Science Diet and the person was very helpful. They said they changed to the new style in January 2017 and that the formula did change. She said they took out pork fat and added chicken fat. She also said they added some minerals. I had noticed my cats seemed hungrier so i asked about the caloric changes and she said that they did in fact reduce the amount of calories to 294 per cup from 315 per cup. It didn’t sound like much but it meant that my cats were missing 17% of the daily calories they eat at the amount that I feed them. They still like the food and the new shape doesn’t seem to break up all over the floor as badly so I am going to keep feeding it and just increase the amount slightly.

Ehhhh, the jury is out
My vet advised a lower calorie and protein content food for my cat, vs their previous food (science diet adult indoor car age 7+) because my cat has some indicators of very very early kidney issues. We looked at every option at the pet store near us (petsmart) and couldn’t find anything better. The vet checked online and recommended this, so we ordered from Amazon. We transitioned our cats to it slowly and it didn’t seem to cause any stomach upset, and they seem ok with the flavor. It’s drier than their old food, and though lower calorie, I honestly think they make up for the difference by volume. My one cat actually gained a little weight after this switch. I think if you restrict gf quantity this might work fine for you, but because we have another cat who doesn’t need to lose weight, we were unable to do so. Just be warned your mileage may vary with this food. We’ll probably continue to repurchase it anyway, though, in the hopes we can push off any kidney decline.

Por equivocación pedí esté en vez de uno para gatos Senior, pero aún así, desde el momento que mi gatita de 10 años lo comió, empezó a moverse más, correr, jugar y hasta trepar árboles. Antes de darle este producto dormía todo el día, vomitaba diario y se veía deprimida, (comía Whiskas, era el peor y tmb sobres de Whiskas y por esos era el vómito, después comió uno de envoltura morada que venden en Costco, pero tampoco le ayudo mucho, aunque fue mejor que Whiskas sinceramente) ahora no se cómo mantenerla tranquila. Lo ame y definitivamente le daré este alimento a futuros gatos que tenga. Es algo caro, pero en verdad vale la pena ver cómo mejora la salud de tu gato y lo hace feliz.En solo tres días se vio el cambió, no ha vuelto a vomitar. Ahora solo falta que le compré el alimento que es para Senior, pero ya con éste que se supone que no era para ella y hasta podría hacerle mal, hubo una mejora increíble en su salud, estoy convencida que el alimento que es para su edad le hará maravillas.SUPER RECOMENDADO!!
