I’ve bought this flavor at least 4 or 5 times now. Tastes similar to vanilla, but has a richer quality. It definitely helps me to fill in between meals and I definitely see a difference in my weight when I’m off it/on it. However, like all things, too much is never good. I was drinking about 2 a day and it gave me itchy red bumps all over my shin.

I can only really compare this to protein shakes I’ve had as well as to Soylent. For whatever reason, this is not very filling – especially compared to Soylent. If I have a Soylent drink, I do not need to eat as much for a while. If I have this, I just don’t really feel as full. I’m not quite sure why that is – is there less protein content with Ensure? Or is it something else?Regardless, the taste is fine and overall I would still recommend it – if you are looking for something simple to have alongside some other food. It’s nice that it is shelf stable and does not need to be refrigerated. I would even more strongly recommend this if you can get a decent coupon with your order, as you sometimes can do every now and then on here.

If you want to give this a try I think the strawberry is the safest option as the taste isn’t overwhelmingly strong. I would describe it as almost strawberry milkshake. Make sure you drink it cold! Otherwise it won’t be as tasty. I drink this before my workout and I find more it appetizing than a workout protein.
