Great tool for my truck
I purchased this for use in my truck. I drive a full-size, extended cab p/u and can’t reach every corner of the cab. This handy gripper is great! The handle is just the right length to reach almost anywhere in the cab without being too long to maneuver. The gun handle grip is comfortable and easy to grip. The soft, rubber tips on the gripping end are wonderful for picking up small items such as pens or coins but strong enough to pick up my billfold or cell phone. If you have mobility issues (like I do), this is a great tool to have at a fairly inexpensive price, too. I highly recommend it!

Lovely little device
The ability to change the angle of the gripping arms was a good design choice, and the addition of the little magnet is clever. I’ve been able to pick up full soda cans, pens, scissors, a water bottle, and medication bottles without issue, and without needing too much grip strength. A little trouble with picking up a remote (trying to avoid buttons), and couldn’t get a good hold of my tapestry rig – but that’s more because the rig, not the gripper. It is *not* one of the extendable ones – there are other listings that are. Getting it to fold was a bit stiff, but I think it’s because the inside elastic was twisted too tight because I turned it around a bit and it folded fine. I guess that’s something to watch for, with turning the head back and forth. Seems good and sturdy so far; I think it would take deliberate effort to strain it past its tolerances. Really glad I decided to search around online instead of settling for the flimsy, basic thing they had at the store.

Lightweight yet Useful
My husband uses a walker following knee replacement, and he sometimes struggles with balance. A grabber makes it easier to retrieve fallen items, but it is awkward to carry with the walker. I ordered this short foldable grabber to keep in his walker basket as it gives that little bit of extra reach than can make a difference. Note that this grabber does not appear to be as well made as “conventional” grabbers (a little weaker, a little less refined design) and may not last forever. However, he is going on a cruise soon, and this is a good portable size for that adventure. Try it–see what you think! It should be useful for a wide variety of grabber uses and users.

Great stocking stuffer
My grown children demand a stocking for Xmas every year. Guys are hard. Every year, I look for one thing that will please all male/female (simplified for explanation). This gift fit in the stocking (basic size), has a shorter handle, but hit the mark! It gets 5 stars for enthusiasm and highly-handled. I would give it 3-4 because it is plastic and when its used enough and dropped, i am betting the casing will crack.

Not great with smaller, weighty objects
I’ve been using the RMS brand grabbers (that I bought on Amazon) for more than 5 years. They are truly the gold standard. But unfortunately, I broke the shorter, 19 in. version and needed a replacement. Unfortunately, RMS only includes it in a 2-pack with the longer one. So I tried this model. Not even close. Sometimes I drop my cell phone and the slick plastic used on the grip head allows the object to slide through. It’s not just items like cell phones. I’ve had books slide through and the book is lighter than the phone. The manufacturer needs to trade this plastic for one the provides better grip. The mechanics of the gripper seem fine. It’s just the plastic used to line the gripper.

I have bought 6 or 7 brands of grabbers over the past 10 or so years. This pair is harder to grip, and doesn’t hang on to whatever you get hold of. I have dropped probably 85 to 90 percent of what I tried to get with them. This morning I went to use them and the arms won’t even close all the way. They are out in the trash.It is not like me to do a bad review but I had to say to not waste your money here. Honestly.I have not had these but a couple of months or so. So they are not worn out.
