Grady LOVES it !!!
In all fairness, Grady is a 16 year old cat, who is hard pressed to eat any brand or style of canned cat food. He is loathe to eat any of them but sinceI introduced Gerber’s as a treat AFTER he eats most of the cat food. He sees it on the counter and will eat a little of the cat food and go to the counter and look at Gerber’s and meow. Hedoes this several times tillI feel he ate enough. I just pop the lid and place the jar on the non slip mat and he lickes the jar clean. Afterwards I get a happy, loving and contented cat.

Great for adults too!
I have been eating this product literally all my life and I’m 77. It was my first meat-based food as a baby. Of course, I went on to eating actual sliced meat. However, a lot of my time as a child was spent being ill. Until antibiotics for children became readily available I was frequently very, very ill with bronchitis every winter. The illness left me with little appetite or energy. Wisely, my mother made things as simple as possible and used this product (and other things) to tempt me to eat.As a teenager and as an adult I have also resorted to it during periods in which my stomach has been seriously upset. As recently as this past week I have had an infection that landed me in the emergency room seriously dehydrated and very nauseous. At home, after treatment, I resorted to it once again till my appetite returned. I usually keep a few jars on hand and replace them as they get used. It’s been a life saver many times over the years.

All kinds of babies like it!
Still a very good meat baby food. I fed it to my kids who are all grown now. Recently my cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which might possibly because buy some canned cat foods. They are unclear about the source, can? Can lining? my daughter had told me that she feeds baby food to her ferrets who are strict carnivores. At the time, April, due to well supplies from the pandemic, she was having trouble finding it. Lo and behold, here it was on Amazon! I bought some for her but also tried it with my cat, who gave the mark of approval! Copious purrs, and he actually took his pill when it was buried in a lump of meat baby food. ,😊 By the way, my daughter said the vet thought the other brand of baby food might be better for the cats, but my big boy wouldn’t touch it. He’s a Gerber baby. 😊

My cat does not eat this 🙁
I heard some cat owners and even vets feed this to cats as an alternative to Churu and gave this a try. Unfortunately, my cat refuses to eat this one.

Got this for my cat
She has digestive issues as she’s getting older. It’s just meat and water, no extras. She loves it.

Disgusting
First of all, it smells like dog food. It is pretty thick. My baby did not like it and ended up vomiting after 3 tastes. He gagged. I tried it and I cannot blame him. It is disgusting

Chicken & gravy gerbers. Fed to elderly cat with tooth issues.
My 19 yr old ginger tabby, Andrew, who has always had a sensitive stomach, never pukes this up. He is at the point of not being able to chew. He won’t eat any of the lickable (made for) cat foods. It keeps him alive, although he does need to be fed every few hours like infants or feral newborn kitties. And the rest of the cats are more than happy to clean up whatever he walks away from…I wish I could get it at a cheaper price, but then that may mean its been compromised. And I cannot risk that. He will not eat any other brand. The only ingredients are added water and cornstarch (which is what I use to thicken my homemade gravy). Just wish I could find someone who has ideas to reuse the 2 oz glass jars, which are unbreakable. Its just the lids can not be reused for food/edibles. Which i have noticed other newer canning supplies do the same…the lid will mold. I tried to keep a small jar with grated parmesan cheese, and again homemade jam, that I have in a dorm size frig. Got mold on the lid, which spread to the food.So if anyone knows a plastic or metal lid that will fit these jars? I have searched Amazon for hours. Nothing for commercial baby food jars.
