Great Buy – Great Value
I really like their ruggedness and comfort with the canvas tops. I got my first pair for canoe trips. Being in the water a lot, my boots were absolutely soaked. Set them out by the campfire overnight and you have dry boots to start the next day – so nice. I wore my last pair completely out. They wear well and last well. New Adventures await and I’m totally stoked.

Run a little big and more comfortable than the originals
I gave these an overall 5 Star rating not because they are the best boots ever, but because they are what they were supposed to be. Although compared to the original GI boots from the Vietnam era, they are 150%+ better. They are combat boots and unfortunately for quite some time the military didn’t seem to care much about a soldier’s feet(poor policy imo). Meaning you shouldn’t be expecting super comfortable modern footwear. That said, they are much better than I was expecting. If you have ever tried on the real ones at a surplus store in the day, they were usually very narrow (if they made wide ones I never found any), stiff, and usually had a bunch of pokey things by the toes and around the ankles. These are rather flexible and I haven’t experienced and pokeiness as of yet. I have only had them a few days. But I have worn them a lot to break them in. I walked in wet grass a lot and worked in the garden in them with now adverse effects. My feet remained dry as well. I like the sole better too. It is much more grippy. If you liked these boots in the original form, you will like these for sure. The materials are different, but better by default due to modern materials and manufacturing methods.I normally wear a Size #10.5-11 on average. I got a Size #10 Wide and it fits well with room for big socks if need be.Ok that about covers it. Good day!

Great Pair of Boot for a costume, bad for rough work
These boots are a good clone of actual USGI Jungle Boots just by looking at them from a distance, however upon further inspection they are almost like sneakers, there are also some imperfections in the soles and it was very slightly different from the original Panama pattern. The rubber soles are a very soft rubber, so they’re pretty much broken in from the start. They are decently light weight and actually have alright foam insoles. They fit very well to the size I bought, size 10. I believe these would last you a decent time if you just wore them around lightly. These are the perfect pair of boots for a Cosplay or Costume. They are cheaper than other Jungle boot clones, decently comfortable, and unless you inspect them up close they look just like the real deal. When I first got these and took them out of the bag, my room filled with a chemical smell, however I aired them outside on my porch over night and the smell was pretty much gone the next day.As I was looking for a cheap pair of Jungle Boots that felt like the real thing for work, I choose the Rothco’s version of the jungle boots over these, as these are clearly boots meant for show and not work. If you buy these, wear them for the look, like sneakers not work boots.

Its a jungle boot maybe not a desert boot
Title: Mixed Performance in Different EnvironmentsRating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆I purchased the Fox Outdoor Products Vietnam Jungle Boot with high hopes for a versatile outdoor footwear option. In softer, muddy environments, these boots proved to be adequate, offering decent comfort and support. However, when put to the test on a construction site with gravel and tougher terrain, their performance left much to be desired. In the initial weeks of wearing them in a soft muddy environment, the boots held up relatively well. They provided sufficient traction and kept my feet comfortable during extended periods of use. The design seemed to excel in situations where grip and water resistance were essential.Regrettably, the boots’ durability was put to the test in a more abrasive environment like a construction site with gravel. Within just three weeks of consistent use, I noticed significant wear and tear on the soles. This rapid deterioration was surprising and disappointing. I found myself having to replace them much sooner than expected. The real setback came when I realized that the Fox Outdoor Products Vietnam Jungle Boot was not suited for rough and demanding terrains. Over a span of four months, I had to go through five pairs due to the accelerated sole wear caused by the construction site conditions. This frequency of replacement was both financially and environmentally discouraging. While these boots might serve well in specific environments such as soft mud or light outdoor activities, they simply couldn’t handle the strain of a construction site. If you intend to use them in rough and challenging conditions, be prepared to face significant wear and tear issues on the soles. It’s worth considering other options if your activities involve consistently demanding terrains. In conclusion, the Fox Outdoor Products Vietnam Jungle Boot showed promise in softer environments but failed to deliver the durability and longevity necessary for rugged use. I would cautiously recommend them for specific purposes but suggest exploring sturdier alternatives if your activities involve more abrasive settings.
