Very accurate tank thermometer
I purchased this tank thermometer as I have a cold water tank. Since it’s winter time I wanted to disconnect my tank chiller hoping to find something accurate so I know when to turn it back on. I had concerns with it being outside the tank but everytime I have checked the temperature, it has always matched my chiller. It is easy to use, just press the touch screen button and the temperature will display for a few seconds before going back into sleep mode. It’s discrete, accurate and well worth the inexpensive price.

Convenient temperature monitoring
I purchased this on whim, to be honest, and wasn’t sure how accurate it would read water temp in my 5 gallon aquarium. It works well and seems to accurately indicate the water temp in the tank throughout the day. I would say that the temp is about a full degree lower than the actual water temp due to the fact that it’s reading the temp through the tank glass. But for my needs, one degree is a reasonable variance. Only wish I had attached it closer to the bottom of the tank instead of at the top since water temps are likely to be cooler at the bottom. Nonetheless, it helps me get a quick read any time and goes right back to sleep to conserve the non-replaceable battery (in other words, it’s a single use thermometer and will need to be replaced when the battery dies).
