Cool set, OK instructions, Probably not for beginners
This is a really cool set – and probably appeals most to a certain age group but any fan of brick building will enjoy this (just not a beginner). The packages were largely already sorted by color and size, which was very helpful because the instructions don’t tell you which pieces you need for each step – you just have to look at the diagram. Make sure you look closely because it can be a hassle to have to go backwards sometimes. I also kept the feet off until the very end so that I had a bit more stability in pushing the bricks together. They are super tiny pieces and sometimes hard to get a handle of. When I first opened it, everything looked pretty intense but it actually went a bit smoother than expected. The hardest part was building the characters. Overall, very happy with this and will definitely have it out on display.

Fun project that looks great
If you are expecting lego size or quality, this is not that. These are much smaller pieces and the instructions are harder to follow, but the end result is quite cool looking as a display piece…and certainly for the price it’s awesome.I didn’t have any missing pieces and they were all in good shape. Do yourself a favor though and have a pair of tweezers to put on some of the 1×1 pieces and a tray to keep the pieces in…they are seriously tiny.Overall took me about 8 hours to build over the course of a few days but I didn’t do any pre sorting of the pieces which would likely speed that up.So if you want a small and low cost display piece you can build, this is a fun option…especially if you have nostalgia for Street Fighter 90’s arcades like I do.

A great set, but with some drawbacks.
I actually really liked this arcade cabinet set. It has so many fun little details and overall it’s a great design! However, I had to take away a star for a a few reasons. First is the packaging. The box doesn’t actually show you what’s inside so if you give it as a gift, the recipient has to open it and look at the final step of the instructions to find out what the set looks like. Not ideal. Second, the instructions are awful. They’re confusing, I had to constantly strain my eyes to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. They don’t have the little boxes indicating what pieces you’ll need to complete each step in advance like they do in Lego, Mega Bloks, and most other sets. Plus, there are only 36 steps for over 1000 pieces which only adds to the confusion. I think it would have been infinitely easier if they split up the steps more. Lastly, I struggled really hard putting the characters together. They just kept falling apart and the instructions for the characters were sooo confusing. Very frustrating. All in all, I think this is a solid set. It just really needs some modifications, mostly in terms of instructions and packaging.

My favorite build so far
Before I start my review I bought this without knowing that you could buy another piece with it and I’m pretty sure it might be a small light. But for now the seller has said that they are not selling that at the moment. Im going to keep the pieces that were left of this build and keep an eye out when the seller sells the light piece.Anyways if you’ve done other projects like this then you know that most instruction sheets are crap. But with this one, the illustrations were great. You can easily differentiate the lines in the blocks so there’s definitely less confusion when building. There were parts where when building your way up would be more difficult than building your way down. For example, the base of the controls (I had to add the angled blocks last) and the little fighters (did the layer before the hair and then worked my way down…if that makes sense). It took me two days to finish this. I did one side of the instruction sheet one day and the other side the other day. This takes patience so if you feel yourself getting frustrated take a break. I do recommend using superglue for the stats bar and the fighters if you decide to not make anymore changes. Oh I also read a review saying that a lot of pieces were missing and usually that does not happen, because these sets ALWAYS come with extra pieces. But I’m guessing they just had really bad luck. All in all this is my biggest build and my most favorite. Oh and if you decide to keep the clear plastic screen on, use gloves when setting it up. I didn’t and there were a lot of smudges.

It’s okay
I’m a LEGO fan, but lately I’ve been really into the micro bricks, and LEGO doesn’t make those. I started with a micro Titanic set and then moved onto this one. I was unsure about this set as there weren’t any reviews available, but I really liked the build. In opening this package, one of the first things I noticed and disliked were the instructions. Usually, there will be a box at the top of each numbered direction telling you what blocks you need for this step. This one doesn’t have it, so you have to have better than great eyesight to be able to tell what you need. The blocks themselves are fine, but don’t lose anything because there arent extras. Well, there are, but not of every block. I don’t know if I dropped something or if the company didn’t give me enough, but I had two pieces missing that there were no extras of, so I had to make up for it by using other pieces. When I got to the step where you put the background sticker on, it was too big for the space that they had allotted, so I had to cut it down quite a bit. I wish I had waited because by the time I finished the inside, I realized that they should have had you place the men and sticker inside further along in the build, like maybe right before you put the clear plastic cover in. I could have used the whole sticker had I realized that I could wait.My last complaint is that the characters are connected very flimsily. The blond character fell apart as I was putting the top on. I had to take the top off and rebuild him, but that time I built him to sit flatly on the clear block, versus being connected by 1 peg.I still gave it three stars though because after all of the struggle, it does look nice.
