The only protein powder you will ever need!!!
This is YOUR new shake and go protein meal!!!!! Wow! I LOVE the premixed as that was what I was used to but I couldn’t get it so I chose the powder version!… chocolate! It’s A-amazing and I am PICKY!!!! There is no chalky taste. There are no clumps when used with a shaker…. No need for high power blenders this thing melts like carnation instant breakfast used to when I was a kid.!!! Man I never should’ve eaten that junk🤣🤣 anyway…. Get this you will not be disappointed. I rated this five stars BUT would like to elaborate. First off, I have ordered this shake several times from Amazon and it’s been between $25-35. This last time I went to order and it was $117!!! I sent a message since there is NO way anyone would pay that much for this shake and then continued to check Amazon for a price change. Once I saw the price was back to normal, I ordered it. I love like the flavor and the fact that it is not whey protein plus it dissolves quickly and is not chalky. I also buy their premade shakes from Sprouts. When I placed my order on 5/4/18 it was supposed to be 2 day prime but the estimated arrival date was not until 5/21/18! Then I get an email saying good news your item will arrive early on 5/16/18 and that was still over a week out. In the end it got there in less than a week. Perhaps this was just a glitch. However, aggravating none the less.Now to the final part of my review. I made my shake (I make it with 8 oz rice milk and 2 oz water) and immediately noticed a change in taste. And not for the better. It was a little more sweet. I dug my old container out of the recycle bin to compare ingredients and sure enough this “new formula” now has Maltodextrin. Why??? More sugar. There are already 2 sweeteners in it (cane sugar and stevia)!! No thanks.So, needless to say this purchase has been the least pleasant and seamless. And now I am not sure I will continue to buy this brand. The premade shakes do not have maltodextrin in them. At least the ones in my pantry do not. They may be changing that formula too. Hope this helps!

Pretty Good Tast – be aware of ingredients like Maltodextrin
Overall this product doesn’t taste too bad. It has a good chocolate flavor, but it’s still a protein drink so it’s like most others in terms of taste texture. I mix with almond or other nut milk and ice in a blender to make it more of a shake. Note of warning…if you are sensitive to maltodextrin, this product may not be for you. I am, and it can cause a bit of gastro distress. Have not been able to find too many protein powders/drinks that don’t have it. On Amazon, I did not see this in the list of ingredients and I called the company to suggest they put it on there. Doubt that will happen but…

A great balance of protein, carbs, and fiber.
First of all I love the taste of this. It’s not artificially sweet or chalky and it dissolves great. It’s pretty creamy, especially with milk (but I use water), and has a really nice chocolate flavor (I have not tried the vanilla). It’s the only protein powder I’ve found that has the best value and includes carbs. Carbs are life, people! And also a ton of fiber; it has 10 grams!! It will keep you full, which is great. There’s not a ton of weird ingredients either. I discovered it on the EWG site and it has one of the lowest contamination rates. It’s made by CytoSport, the maker of Muscle Milk, so no wonder it’s so good. I can’t think of anything I would change beyond more flavors.

Didn’t have much of a chocolate flavor to it. Has aftertaste to it.
I didn’t like it. I thought that plant based would be good but I just can’t get past the taste of it. I won’t be buying again. The texture is smooth. Easy to make. I used a blender so it mixed just fine for me. I put a lot into my shakes so I can’t speak on the thickness. Mine tend to be on the thicker side. I also add fiber sometimes. I like to add fruit etc to it. Price wasn’t too bad. Maybe it would have tasted better if I added peanut butter or cocoa to it?? I dont know. It just didn’t have much of a chocolate flavor! It was very subtle. It had a funky taste to it. Whey protein tastes way better than plant protein in my opinion. They should add more flavor to it!! More chocolate or something.

I have included Evolve shakes nearly everyday. I notice on the days I havent had it that I miss the nutrients from it. Tastes good. Mixes well with a shaker cup.

Such a Loss
I used to love the premixed double chocolate protein shakes. I mean, I stick with them through all of the price increases. Sometimes they were the only protein source I could digest.I’ve tried to like the protein powder. Really tried. Cold, warm, room temp. Purified water. Everything. It’s so awful. I just want the original back😭Where did the original go?! Why can’t I find it? All the other flavors are gross.Unforeseen benefit: I will be able to get rid of my amazon prime thing. I really only care about the shakes. Everything else was easily outsourced. By Amazon🤣
