Easy to learn, fun to play, lots of replayability
This is a super fun game with quality components. This game is easy to learn, and there is a play through video on you tube that runs just over 17 minutes that makes learning how to play even easier.I was going to kickstart this game, but somehow I forgot to back it. So I bought the collector’s edition and all the expansions on Amazon from Tabletop Tycoons, which they packed the games very well and I received well ahead of schedule.This game has a lot of replayability and it is a different game each time you play. That is very important to me when buying games because I want to be able to play them time and again.This is also a great game for the whole family to sit around the table for family game time. The art work is amazing and the game components are cleverly made.The price of the game is very much worth it for the quality of the game and the fun family time you are going to get from playing it. This is a game that is going to be on our gaming table very frequently.I hope this helps you in your decision making about purchasing the game. Have fun board gaming and I sincerely hope that you enjoy this game as much as my family and I do playing this game.

Collector’s edition is great!
Everdell is a fun game with a light enough complexity to appeal to (or at least be tolerable) to most in the party-type game set, but has enough complexity to still entertain those who like higher complexity (more like Agricola or Caverna.) The game is very cute. The artwork is amazing. The pieces are so fun, like the bouncy little berries. The miniatures are cute wooden woodland creatures. This set came with an expansion built-in, which I didn’t even notice since it was my first play of it. If you think you’d like this game, I’d get this collector’s edition.

Love this game. Not only is it clever and allows for intense strategy, the artwork and quality of the board and game pieces is phenomenal. I love this game. I highly recommend it as a high quality gift or a purchase for yourself. Good times all around.

Our Favorite Board Game Immediately
The game is really fun and right away became our family’s favorite board game. The collectors edition comes with some upgraded tokens and some additional cards to use but the standard version would work just as well if price was a factor. Since the collectors was available, I went with that one.We watched a 30 minute YouTube video explaining the game while we were waiting for it to come in and that really helped us grasp the rules and concept when we sat down to play for the first time. We still had to use boardgamegeek website to clarify some of the rules for some of the cards, but overall it’s a lot of fun.You use resources like berries (the best feeling resources in the game), twigs, resin, and pebbles to purchase cards that are either critters or construction (general store, twig barge, courthouse, etc) cards that you play to build your city. The game is played out over 4 seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, and finally Autumn). The person with the most points (combination of points on cards, money tokens, and other factors) is the winner.Depending on the players skill it can be highly complex and you can score in the high 50s or low 60s (at least for us) or it can be played laid back with low scoring but less emphasis on complexity.Complexity involves really knowing what the card abilities can do and using that to maximize the amount of points you have, discarding cards you don’t want, stretching out how far your resources take you, and how fast you go through the seasons.It’s very family friendly and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cool looking board game that has both depth and fun.

Great game but not the price
Ok I still gave the purchase a 5 star because it’s a great game for me and I don’t mind the price, but for $100 vs $60 just for metal coins and some small additions I am not sure justifies that $40 round up for everyone, I’d say it’s more for a completionist. For the game itself I loved it, it was a much more complex version of Catan in the aspects of resource management. It was a bit more complicated than wingspan in the engine building aspect, and a little harder to learn but not hard in my opinion. I don’t think it would appeal to people that only like simplicity such as catan but will for those who are looking for something more complex and are patient to give it a try. The first season or round of the game is slower then the rest and will have you asking how am I supposed to get any points? But as you slowly build your engine things start to make sense, so just be patient and open minded because there’s a great game in here. Personally I think wingspan is better and has cleaner mechanics for achieving a similar vibe, but I believe Everdell is more rewarding at the end when you win because of how much you keep track of.

First of lets start with the art:it amazing, it beautiful enough to just lay it on the table for guests to ask wow this is a beautiful setup. from cards to board, tree and tokens you will love everything.Learning curve:easy to learn, some people might feel a little confused at first but as soon as they play their first game or couple of rounds they will get the hang of it.Fun:well I could say it jumped up to my top 10 family and friends gameReplayablity:i believe it has endless replayability, when we talk deck builder, we talk about drawing cards or choosing from those available, so the randomness is enough to provide replayabilityGame type:Worker placement / deck builder thrown in a mixerCollectors edition price:I would say if you got extra money on hand get it, but other than that the retail version would provide you with what to expect from this game while keeping you extra coin at bay.Final thoughts:its a must have for any board game collector, any worker placement lover, any deck builder fan.Great to play with family and friends.

I have been playing a variety of board games in the past few years and expanding my collection. Out of the many games that I have played, this has moved to one of my top recommendations for families who are just getting into board games. We have a family of 4 with a 16 and 12 year old boys. The 12 year old won. It is one of the simplest game to teach amongst more complex games. My son does not like to read to I have used board games to develop analytical skills. It is working.The game is beautiful, the components are really nice, especially in the limited edition (I have series preference for metal money so it was not an option for me). I highly recommend this game.

Item is listed as Everdell: Collector’s Edition (2nd Printing), which is the base game. Unfortunately I keep receiving the expansion – Everdell: Pearlbrook Collector’s Edition. Hope this inventory gets properly sorted out soon!Update: After my 4th or 5th attempt, I finally received Everdell: Collector’s Edition. It arrived in perfect condition. The extra stuff in this vs. the retail version is quite nice (metal coins, rat meeples, lots of extra cards, etc).
