Fast, easy to use, and AAA batteries a huge plus
I bought this thermometer to replace an old one that had died after many years hard use in my kitchen.Compared to its predecessor, this one is faster, fits in the hand better, and seems better constructed. The shape and materials in the grip make it easy to hold – doesn’t slip when my hand is wet or even greasy. I love using the thermometer to check the temp of frying pans, baking dishes and so forth, which helps me to cook better and more consistently. It’s also handy for many uses around the house.One feature I absolutely love – it uses AAA batteries, where previous infrared laser thermometers I’ve had were all 9 volt batteries. When those 9 volts died, we rarely has spares on hand. We use rechargeable batteries for many other items, so we always have freshly charged AAA batteries available. (Of course, regular AAA batteries work just fine, too.)This is a fine, inexpensive, handy infrared thermometer. I highly recommend it.

Accurate and works as expected
I made pizza tonight and this was an essential piece of equipment for this. While shopping for an infrared thermometer the prices were all over the place. I saw this cheaper version for this brand and figured I don’t even want to know why the others are more expensive.The first day I opened the box I was like a kid. I walked around measuring temperature of all kinds of object. I have radiant floor heat in my house and I know the floors should be about 75 degrees F so that’s the first thing I check and it was correct.These come with batteries and work as expected. I can’t think of a negative thing to say about it. Granted, this is my first infrared thermometer so I don’t know if I am missing something I am supposed to have. But, what more could I want other than pressing a button and reading the temperature? Everything I have checked so far seems accurate so it gets an A from me for accuracy, an A for price and an overall A for ease of use.

Easy to use temperature checker. Nice tool to have in the kitchen. Was able to test oven temperature and food right out of the oven. Instead of guessing if it is safe to handle, I use this thermometer. Very handy. The display is easy to read and very bright. Also very light and easy to handle.There are fancier ones out there. For the price it will take care of most everyday use cases. Very good value for money.Only feature I would like is rechargeable battery. This one uses old school AAA. Luckily, I have a pack of rechargeables. Comes with batteries installed.

Sometimes I want to check some temperatures from my oven, refrigerator, cast iron pans, cast iron bbq grates, etc. So far so good. The temperatures are within +/- 2 degrees Celsius tolerance. I buyed this “like new” and it was a little cheaper that way. The original carton box was a little damaged but the item was not used and the provided 9V battery was still sealed in plastic. For me it isn’t important if a BBQ is 175 degrees Celsius or 177 degrees Celsius but with this item I can check things. It feels sturdy enough but the future will tell if it will last a couple of years.
